I can see the list, but for privacy reasons it's not public. If someone wants to post they'll be there, thats fine/encouraged.

I'll be there :)

I'd love to go, but from now until August, I don't have three days in a row that don't have something planned. Unforunately, the tour this year is not one of those things that are planned. =( As I told slipkid earlier, though, I already have it on the calendar or next year. Assuming Al and Miles haven't kicked me off the board by then. ;)

From the announcements:
"If you need/want two double beds in the bedroom just ask, they are the same rate."

Miles-

I called trying to book the room with 2 double beds and the rate is $20 more ($119). I spoke with the manager (Ronnie), and those rooms, apparantly, are quite large and she said they can't give them out at the same rate.

If you made the original arrangements with someone else, perhaps they aren't all on the same page over there, and need to be.

Doesn't matter much to me, there is a pull out couch in the regular rooms, so we're sticking with that...but I thought I should let other OFC members know if they were planning to share rooms.

I ran into the same thing with the double bed room. That's alright. I'll just take it out in towels when I leave. ;)
Once you know the rules, then you can play the game.

Yup, they probably know that game too.

And they probably charge $45 per missing towel to your credit card.

I'm going to have to take a wait and see approach. My wife is expecting and has been feeling absolutely miserable for about 2 months now. I'm not sure that she will be up for going. I know that she would go even if she felt miserable just so I could go, but I can't let her do that. I also don't think it's right to leave her home alone right now. I made my hotel reservations a long time ago. I'll just wait and see how she feels in the next few weeks.

Great idea! Just imagine Ovation building guitars on the left coast, ala Orange County Choppers. Staring Frank as Paul Sr. Darren as Paul Jr. and of course Kim as the lovable Mikey.

Umm, yup Cliff, that would be correct. I was thinking of West Coast Choppers ...

With all due respect for my friends in CA, it bugs me that CA seperates me form the ocean. I guess once enough of it slides away, I'll be sitting pretty. Although I'll miss the thong bikini's and big breasts.

I'm thinking about going, but I don't do well on long drives... thinking about catching a bus (I'm in northern Maine). We're only talking a few hundred bucks for a mini vacation. It comes down to logistics, bus schedule, how close the bus comes to the hotel, etc. I could drive down I guess, but just thinking about it makes my eyes itch.

Whine whine whine... I know...

I'm thinking about it. I'd hate to miss the opportunity to see the factory.

I just booked a room and was told that the OFC room allocation was full. I got a room OK, but if your're planning to go book now.

Every year I have attempted to make the factory tour with some western means of transport, mules, burros etc.. This year I am stuck with an '88 Tercel that my grandson worked on in a shop class at Mayfield High and his mother (my daughter) bought for him at age 15, which he snuck out and tore down a neighbors fence because he didn't know how to drive a stick shift. I ended up with it because my Iraq veteran paratrooper grandson bought it to relieve his aunt's problems and parked it in my yard.

It has a hot 1200 cc 12 valve engine and is basic CAR, standard shift, cheap radio etc, The school rebuilt the engine and trannie, brakes etc, but run out of money for the air conditioner which I am fixing. It is basic SMALL car enough room for me and not much more. I am on my way!!
