Ok, so here's the whole sad story.

We got done eating out someplace in LA, a whole bunch of OFC folks I don't remember exactly. We might have been drinking as well. Anyway, I drop off Templeman at his hotel and start to leave the lot. But my innards are really starting to rumble. So I go back and knock on Temps door and ask if I can use his bathroom. Now, it turns out that old Temp had been jacking off for days and had the toilet totally plugged up with tissues and god knows what else. So I relieve the pressure cooker also known as my bowels and I give her a flush. Well, nope nothing happening. So I give another try, and another, and another. Waters flowing into the pot but she ain't dumping. The Dinty-Moore stew is quickly rising for the brim, and them starts flowing over. And I mean flowing big time. River-de-Coco starts flowing under the door and getting blotted up in the bedroom carpet. Honestly I was paralyized. I just got done crapping my brains out and now I was pissing my pants with laughter. This was one of those "fight or flight" moments and I had to choose between yelling to Paul for help or just go ahead and start sopping it up with his hawaiian shirts that were hanging over the shower. Honestly as I stood there ankle deep in shit water and salad I started to fear that the floor would collapse into the room underneith. I did the only rational thing that I could think of. I climbed out the damn window and ran like hell.

At least that's how I remember it.

I'm missing something here - it's Temp's room, right?

Where's the sad part of the story?

I'm thinking to my self that this would be a great event to attend. I'm also thinking that '08 is the year I make it to the Open House. Trouble is, no way that I can get to both.

Now maybe if I could really play, the Clinic would be worth my time. Then there were the comments on another thread that an intensive multi-day clinic with a great instructor (our own Matt Smith)is worth far more than a series of private lessons with an average instructor.

I guess this will sort itself out since I can't plan that far ahead due to my work schedule. If there is still space available when my crystal ball clears up, then maybe...

Blues

Topics: Blues, slide, performing, all high on my interest list.

... why do I find this the most amusing line in the whole story?

The critical question is... did you take the soap, shampoo and towels?

I believe you're referring to the Clinton Amnesiac Defense technique.

It makes more sense when you assign an arbitrary dollar value to the individual letters, add the numeric value of the letters, divide by the square root of the travel season, and add local taxes.

Or just buy a boarding pass for cash from the flight attendant at the last minute. (sometimes you have to sleep with them first, not normally considered a hardship. Unless you're flying Quantas.)

Thanks, Dave. In order to take some of the press away from our senior senator from Idaho regarding his exploits in a Minnesota john, I have forwarded your story to Fox News.

John, that would be awesome.

I am glad I committed and committed early. If I had waited and procrastinated, I would have eventually found a million reasons why I could not make the trip (just like last year's tour).

While I know the factory tour is an awesome event, I would rather learn some sound guitar playing techniques and as a bonus get to hang out with most of the people I converse with on the OFC anyway.

Just do it!
