Or maybe you just don't read real good ... I SAID it was my favorite ADAMAS 12 string ever. I did NOT say it was my OVERALL favorite 12 string ever. That honor would go to the Guild F412. So when I made the decision to keep only one 12 string, the Adamas was the one to go. I know that probably pains you into screetching like a cat in a radiator fan, but thems the facts. Now why don't you go catch some bad guys. Only shoot is their hands are already up. Edited by Standingovation 2014-09-01 8:37 AM

Before the OvationFanClub.com, information on Ovations as a whole was next to nothing.. Online, offline, outa-line.. whatever... There are books upon books about every guitar out there. There's ONE book on Ovation guitars, only some of them, for some years, and it's at best "mostly" accurate. While the audience has relatively stayed the same, a factor in the participation during the first 5 years was simply there was FINALLY a place to find out about Ovation guitars. Even many of the other sites for other brands that have stood the test of time are full of "conjecture" where for the most of the first 5 years some of the people actually responsible for building and designing the guitars were prodding and nurturing each others memories and dusting off brain cells to get info that was thought to be lost.... or no one even knew existed in the first place. Out of that lust for info came the http://ovationtribute.com/ site to collect as much hard info as possible and they've done an unbelievable job in that. My point is.. there was essentially nothing before. It's only logical that at some point, one would hope, that we got most of the stories out there. Amazingly, there are still NEW stories, but back then, it was ALL new and almost every topic was information that most people never know about, and had no way to learn before. Now, with the closing of the factory, we have become the stewards of the information. While you can't have one without the other, I think it's fare to say that "collecting" information is important, but maintaining it becomes a larger and maybe more important role. Even I cannot overlook the important social aspect of this site, but lets face it... after around a half a million posts, there's not a lot of "new" jokes to be told or experiences to share..... or are there??? Ahhh that's up to you. Yes you, whomever you are. The closing of the Factory means a club gathering can be ANYWHERE, ANYTIME someone decides it's been too long apart. It will take awhile, some wounds of the factory closing will have to heal, but I have confidence that there will be people getting together, maybe in small groups at the start... but there will be "gatherings" again. Thanks to Facebook and whomever started the Ovation Guitar Collectors page, there are new people learning about Ovation for the first time every day, maybe now more then ever before. As that picks up even more, they're going to need folks like us to help them along. Yes indeed, "what is happening to the o.f.c.?" it's preparing for the next wave. Don't know what it looks like, how big it will be, and if it's part of a series or just a one-off, but it's coming, and we'll be hang'n out at the beach with a welcome mat and a cold beverage to hear their stories.

It first aired in 1963 and ran continuously until 1989 when it was cancelled. It was re-launched in 2005 and has come back, stronger than ever, earning a whole new generation of fans. It has been "on the air" for 50 years, in rotation, somewhere. So my fellow Whovians... in which episode did an Ovation guitar appear. And yes, there was one.

I have always stated the Primary INTENT of this site was the best source of information. Primary would implicate there is a secondary... didn't know what it was at the time, but figured, like in other area's, if there is enough of #1, there will be some #2... (see what I did there I never denied that there was a social aspect... but I will always ensure Information is the Primary aspect. Just wanted to clarify that for those who are watching.

I don't know because The Doctor is not on cable here. But I would guess it is Matt Smith because he is the coolest Doctor ever. I never thought anyone could top Tom Baker, but Matt did it. One of my students is a Whovian too and she made me a scarf. It's 17 feet long and the right colors too.
