I changed from the stock Schaller black plastic "ebony" buttons to full size Pearloid and then I decided I prefered the minis and changed to mini ivoroid. I'm going to check my 47 right now and see if it will take a full size set | ||

Joined: February 2002 Posts: 5750 Location: Scotland | Jeff, it worked just fine. Checked the 47 and my 1773LX, both took full size buttons using the existing mini screws. When you take off the button make sure the worm stays flush with the body of the tuner. When you slacken off the screw it has a tendency to work it's way out of the tuner body slightly, especially if there's still a little tension on the string. If you don't push it back flush that might be causing the problem. | ||
