Yup. He's dead.

Back to music:

Gonzaguinha - Youtube

He sings, to the end of the song:

"Dê senhor uma esmola
A um pobre que é são
Ou lhe mata de vergonha
Ou vicia o cidadão"

In a loose translation:

If you give money (alms?) for free to a healthy poor person, you either will ashame them or you will give them a bad habit.

I've learned a long time ago not to give money on the streets. I will give food, and things, but never, ever, money. Money has a bad habit of making its way to drugs, all by itself. And, being in law enforcement, I can't stand that.

I give money to buskers, if I listen to them for a while. But I agree, no money for the beggars and scammers; it all goes to drugs.

I think this one's FINALLy dying a richly deserved natural death.

(Though, euthanasia would have been appropriate a while ago!)

Can this inane thread make it to the magic number of 100 posts before the inevitable hammer falls, and it makes its wretched way into digital oblivion, there to lie, forgotten, moldering, unmourned, unlamented, until, phoenix-like, it surges back to life when some poor sap does an unfortunately configured search and bumps it by accident?

Well, can it?

Hmmmm, I can imagine 100 toasts.
(In fact there was this one wedding....)

But, what would 100 posts taste like?
