"Only" 4?

I'll take what I get. Beggars can't be choosers, and I seriously doubt I need to worry about 'getting stuck' with a crappy guitar.

In fact, it reduces the chance that I'll be tempted to take something home with me...

Hey now.....I put dibs on Q8 about 15-20 pages back when Bill first posted the list and asked who wanted what.

Sorry Professor....you're gonna have to pick something else!

No prob, Stephen. I'm with the Wabbit. There wwon't be any duds in this group and I'll be happy with whatever is passed my way. I will have the Traveler with me as a spare and if the noise is problematic, I'll use it with earphones.

Well, multiple days multiple guitars.

I would be surprised if I had the same guitar the whole week.
I plan on trying out a few over the course of the festivities!

I really want to hear a comparison between Q10 & Q8.

I was looking at bringing the OFC wideneck, 47RI, UTE, USA deep bowl doubleneck and maybe the Fud too if someone has a round hole desire. Figured that since I'm driving, I can bring a few loaners for the folks flying.

I'm more concerned about storage/security for all these than anything else. Don't want to have to lock them in the car to keep them safe...I know how warm it can get in March in Florida!

Beal, do we have that covered with Mike's store?

Also, what the parking issue look like?

Counting the days, oh boy !!!! :D :D :D :D

My inventory covers some of the same as Tim's.

I'll have a FUD for sure plus the UTE and 1537 if I still have them.

Now I'm thinkin'.
Do I bring my own guitar or not.
Wood or graphite... I don't care but if I'm going to be spending that much time playing, I might prefer to have my own familiar set-up. Low action and light (but not crazy /stupid light) strings.
Then there is the thing about being responsible for someone elses axe.
Hmmmmmm.

Interesting observation Brad

I know for me, I prefer my own over someone else's stuff...just feels right

I don't stress the someone else playing it part. They are just pieces of wood and plastic, can be repaired or replace. I have them insured. I'll take friendship over that any day :)

I guess I'll bring one of my own.
Hopefully it can be a carry on and find room in the front cabin closet.

Tim... It will probably be the UTE so check with me before you load up. Might save you a little room.

But you can bet I'm gonna test drive everything I can possibly get my hands on.

Brad, I understand feeling comfortable with your own guitar but I have played 4-5 Utes and they all play basically the same. Since there will be several in attendance, why would you want to carry along another?

Just a thought.

parking is no problem. Good idea to leave the guitars in your room over night, I'm not lugging everything back and forth everyday. I'll do that in the beginning and end.
Mike's store will have plenty of strings for restringing, his prices are reasonable. His cigars are good too.
See separate post for the golf.

Big night at the Mermaid tonight. Darby won second. I didn't have a song.

There were two singer/songwriters.

People coming is Wed, work on your songs. We can meet downtown and go get some dinner somewhere, sort it out as we go.

Thursday again we'll get something, maybe eat at O'Kanes, the irish bar if they're serving dinner. That way we're in place for Davis and Pam who start at 8:30 and go till 1:00. Anyone is welcome to sit in

Friday I'm thinking about the Crab trap. Anyone in the group had and like crabs? They have an upstairs area that could be quarenteened off for us. Dinner is part of the fee, get your own drinks. There is a mini stage so we can bring some guitars. I chose fish since Cliff is a vegeteriblian. They have chicken and steak too. Real good cheese grits, fried shrimp and scallops, had them last night

Saturday We'll probably just eat at the Florida house, same deal on food and drinks(Fri and Sat lunch too). Matt will be playing there and will be a great show.

More as we get closer.
