Setting tents at the campsite tomorrow night. (so we're just far enough and just close enough to the mainstage area)
Look forward to seeing dvd and family (it's a very family friendly environment) there next year. ;-) |

Location: Jet City | Thanks guys, you all were the first group I've ever sang in front of. Just playing is a different story, but the singing is new to me.
I didn't want to be like one of those Idol idiots "well my mom says I can sing"
I need to diversify the set list some, then I think I'll be ready to jump in head first. I'll call upon y'all again for some advise before I do it, but I was thinking an open mic or so would be the way to start it out. |

You can start out with just two or three songs you feel confident with. (Practice playing with the radio turned on to music you really like listening to while you 'sell' the song to an audience of pictures along one wall.)

We all checked out Sunday night. The drunken teens left many of us sleep deprived. I think this festival may be going the way of Merrit Mountain Music Fest...I am reminded of the Casey Stengle-ism, "No one goes there any more, it's too crowded."
The music is still good. Everything that happens when the sun is up is perfectly fine. But unless things change a lot, I don't think I can say it's exactly 'family friendly' after the music shuts down. |

You're probably right about dvd, but he's aging rapidly since he had twins.
I thought AJ would be the old man of the group, since he talked about retirement and grandkids, but I was bummed that he and I are the same age. At least when people call me Grandpa they aren't correct. |
