You're a funny guy Randy. Just wait...

That's numbfingers all the way to the left I believe. It is hard to see.

Who the hell was taking these pictures anyway?

I guess I can't bitch though. I didn't really take any. I was to busy B.S.in', drinkin', and playin'

It was a great time. I will be having to do this again for sure. Maybe the Bay Area's next. I might have to go visit bobbo and that JL of his.

Phil is right, it's definitely numbfingers on the Left. Is numbfingers Kurt? My apologies, I'm bad with names.

This was Saturday. Friday night, Damon was ready for the lampshade. He actually holds his liquor quite well. That's an admirable quality that wasn't shared by some of the rest of us. I'm glad it wasn't me that walked through the screen door, although I did hit my head on that flower pot and hanging lamp a couple times. . . just a fraction of the number of times Miles did it.

What else did I learn at the PNW OFC Gathering? After applying liberal amounts of mosquito repellant on your hands and forearms, be careful when handling highly glossy guitars, particularly those with flames on all sides! With the heat that guitar endured on the back of the bike in the hot sun all the way home, the filmy repellent smeared on the guitar coagulated into some really sticky mess. It came off with Dunlop, but yuk! Incidently, did anybody discover the piece of salmon that disappeared within the body of an unidentified guitar after falling off a passer-by's plate? Fortunately, it didn't fall in mine! Electric guitar owners need not worry.

I was in rare form indeed on Friday.

OK, maybe that form is not so rare for me.

I dropped a piece of the salmon, but it went on the ground. I expected a cat to snarf it up, but the part that wasn't stuck to the bottom of my shoe was still there later.
By the way, I'm not a real salmon fan, but that was possibly the best I've tasted. Another pat on the back to our hosts. (Miles, just pass these along to Lisa, because I don't want her reading all my posts. These women might talk to each other.)

It is a nice guitar. As Miles said, it's so wrong on so many levels, but sounds great. Numbfingers had one there, too. His has the Matrix type neck, but doesn't have as much rake in the headstock as the Matrix.
Miles and I have Matrixes. His is actually one of the first, a Medallion. Those are also guitars with very little wood in them, but they sound great.

Yeah, wish I could have made it. Sounds like there was, pretty much, unbridled debauchery & flagrant hedonism had by all. Ironically, I will be in that vicinity THIS weekend!
Perhaps, Dr. John was right........

As much debauchery and hedonism as people over fifty and 'plus size' IT folks can stand. I could never see myself sitting in a jail cell next to ANY of these people saying things like, "who'da thought pigs could jump that far?"

Well. Maybe Damon.

What did you guys do to AJ? Not a single post from him since just before he got to the gathering. Is it possible you've all scared him off or has he gone hiking far away from any internet cafes?

Hi Guys,

Just a quick one

My apologies for being AWOL.

I have been travelling and this is the first chance I've had to get near a PC that was working since the Jam.

We had a fantastic time.

Thanks to all for the fun and fellowship

Post more soon

Nah, AJ and Deb are on the road. They were trying to figure out how to fit about a weeks worth of sight seeing into about three days. Lower BC, Vancouver Island. They'll check in, no worries :)

AJ, good to see you're safe and sound. What are you bringing back to show us? Did you sort out the special thing you were talking about before you went?

Man, I wish I could've made it back up to the NW event this year. Max and I were just talking about the great time we had in Portland last year and how we hope to get back for the next one. The timing just didn't work for us this year. Nice to see all the familiar faces and characters, but also nice to see the unfamiliar faces too. Damon, it's either a round-hole one or one with a bunch of those little holes. AJ ... so close yet so far away. Hope to meet up with you next time.
