Well. Maybe mine then, by the fourth night.

I'll probably try the pillow technique first though. I'll have to get volunteers to help hold you down.

Up for grabs.
Structure; Verse, climb, chorus.
Needs one more verse, climb....
then whatever else comes to mind.

She looks so much like a classic librarian
Sipping on soda in the corner booth
You wouldn't believe she is such a contrarian
Sometime soon you're gonna see the truth

She's on a three day weekend flight
Anything happens, it'll happen tonight

When you wind her up
She goes all night long
Like an oyster gives up a pearl
When she opens up
She's a different song
The ALL AMERICAN PARTY GIRL

Let me get this straight . . . we have to work with the following words: river, southern, girl, addition, candy, divorced, neon, Carribean, blondes, someday, hard, life, and wind?

I'm thinkin' blues.

The Mermaid's calender just says "wind" and the details say "weather related".

NO, Only wind.
Breeze. Woosh or whatever you want to call it.
My joke song had ALL the topics from then till April.
Think Windy by the association
Think Mandolin wind by Rod Stewart
Think Phone Booth by Albert King (I'm in this phone booth baby, and the cold wind's right outside)
I got GAS but tell her it's wind, now that's a country song.

Some random thoughts ...

"Roses are Red"
"Violets are Blue"
"The Wind Blows, so why don't You"

Yes, I'm putting a lot of thought into this.

For a first effort, surprisingly well.
Found 3 simple chords that can be dressed up with a little finger picking.
Then just a little work to clear up an awkard lyric or two & I'm done. I'll have time to test drive it at a few local open mics.

I'm not too thrilled with airlines or flying at the moment. Besides the fact that I'm flying everyweek for work, I just had to blow 250k airline miles to get the whole family to a wedding in California in July. What a bunch of ***holes the airlines are. 50k miles PER ticket in coach!

I wanted to use the miles to take the family to Hawaii, but there are about 3 days all year that aren't blacked out or have seats left. Oh well.

End of rant.

I don't know if such an angry song would appeal to the judges. Didn't Beal say it had to be "clean"?
