One of the nicest ones I've seen, and they're all great. Damon had a bunch of other great guitars there as well. Mike's on site restoration of the ebay Viper. It was actually a committee project that worked! dvd's Redwood. I've played it in at least 2 versions and it is great. The second time I've played an FD-14. I may be the only one that isn't blown away by that guitar, so it is good that I can move other things to the top of the list. Mike's Koa. If I can get some bills paid this month, I'll be talking to Al in August. Miles' Book Elite was very tempting. I just can't rationalize that. All of Miles' exotics. Electrics are wasted on me, but I am not too old to dream of being a rock star. It was nice to play a familiar OFC. Thanks to everyone for bring their toys for those of us who flew or biked in. My fingers were hurting on Saturday. I haven't played that much in a long time.

I don't know if Phil knew that at about the time he walked through the screen door, dvd and I were up to about 5 on the "count how many times Miles bonks his head on the hanging flower pot" game. It was funny every time.

It might just be blurry video of drunks and guitars. I hope he got Miles hitting the flower pot and Phil hitting the screen door. Maybe we could post a poll and vote for the best collision. Phil, at least you didn't walk into the screen door over and over again.

It has been signed by a whole bunch of drunks (I Wasn't the only one....there was a momentary panic when we thought AJ was going to try and drive to the hotel in the condition he was in. But he thought he WAS getting in the passenger side.) and will be going Down Under shortly.

So he may be spending an extra night in St. Louis or something. Thanks to everyone for making this a success... but as stated will post more later. The recording seminar was more a workshop/discussion... and well.. at the risk of... You Should Have Been There :) Sorry.. couldn't resist.

We'll have to meet up again and do some playing. I think I'd better start practicing now. Thanks for coming Al.

(Slipkid's keeping track, right?) I have the History of Ovation Guitar Book. I don't have a list of where it is or who wants it. I am glad to know it's not lost and that it was at the NW gathering and that it is going "down under". The debate might be as to where, after it's all dog-eared and written all over, it should make it's last stop. My thought, and it's just my thought, is that it would be nice to have it end up at the Mothership. I was not there but I did phone in. It was nice to say hello to Woody and Miles and VERY nice to say hi to Aussie James & Phil. Somehow I missed talking to Boise Mark. Sorry pal.

Al has one of the worst cases of plumber's crack I've ever seen and was sitting with his back to the beer cooler for awhile. His hemorrhoid isn't throbbing . . . I heard something about Brad calling, but somehow missed the phone call. It might have been while I was wretching after the accidental witnessing of the plumber's crack.

I was hoping he'd lean over (when I was in front of him this time) and start his hair or beard on fire, but it never happened. Woody gave me a razor blade to play with and I never cut myself once. It was really a good weekend.

We're used to being insulted. guess you weren't hoping for a special rate on that Koa, eh Mark? :D There was plenty of baldness to go around, but I really didn't need a hat in Seattle. The only reason I wore one was to avoid the glare from the camera flashes. There was also plenty of evidence that the marketing people made the right decision when they came up with the contour bowls. You know who you are. I forgot to thank our hosts for the brats. I thought I couldn't get enough of those, but after a couple of them at Miles I came home to a barbeque where the only choice was brats. Still managed to get down a couple more. I'm really working toward the need for a contour bowl.
