Sweet, congrats! Need some chili for that "wind" work?

That's an oxymoron.

I just liked the visceral nature of the first line and wondered where it would lead.

I have two verses I'm happy with and a good idea where I want it to go with it.
No music yet but I'm trying to keep the syllables in some kind of rythmic order.

I look at Bill's lyrics and admire the sparsity of verbage. Everything I try to write seems kinda wordy.
Which I'm sure comes as no surprise to OFC members.

The fewer the words the easier it is to sing and get good phrasing. Too many and you stumble over your tongue and guitar parts.

Imagine yourself hesitating a milisecond before you start the line. If you can still pull it off you're OK. If it results in a Train Wreck, you got too many words.

Okay, Here is the line-up for the Miami (Attic)Room at the Inn: Myself; Beggin JM; Wabbit, Tim in Tidewater; and Omaha...thats all we have room for...If this list is not correct contact me asap...I have the room reserved from Wed. thru Sat. night; Here is what the Florida Inn web site says about the room:

This one large bedroom unit is located on the third floor in the attic space with the ceiling falling to 4 foot walls. It has a king bed and two twin trundles (a total of 5 beds) and can easily sleep four to six. It also has a full size crib and changing table for those traveling with a baby. The bathroom is spacious and has a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub. This is not a fancy room but is a very economical room if you need lodging for multiple guests.
Begging and I have spoken for the king size, others might want to claim your spot...First come first served so they say....
We're getting closer!
:D ;)

Just curious...

What is the largest OFC thread of all time.

I have to bet that ultimately it will be this one.

We are over 600+ and you know the activity is going to pick up considerably as we get closer to March.

Any of our "Vault" experts want to venture in the realm of the unkown to find the longest OFC thread (or is this already it    )

I got the words down for my "wind" song!
I'm afraid it came out a little bit country sounding. It's about love, dispare, and redemption.
It feels like I got the right amount of syllables in the right place but I'm sure it will need a tweek here and there.
Now to put them to some good old cowboy chords. Since it's a song-WRITING contest I'm hoping they do not judge by how many E-flat-minor-major-fifth chords I use.

Remember what Beal said, The Judges know less than the contestants.
(and drink free)
(so you can't bribe 'em with drinks.)
(try the coconut bra)
PS: EbMdim3sus4 chords are illegal in country music.

Not always. Sometimes they know what's going on.
But that chord is still illegal.

Hmmm. Top floor room. I wonder if the windows open far enough to get a body through...
