What a great weekend. I got to meet some really cool folks, drank entirely too much wine, and played some REALLY cool guitars including an OFC Adamas, and an FD14!! I also sang and played for the first time in front of a group, and nobody, so that was pretty cool too.

Thanks Miles and Lisa. Your hospitality is second to none.

I showed my wife the pic of "my ride" for the weekend. She laughed. I guess she's gotten past the bunch of sick internet guitar geeks and has decided it's funny.
Had a great time topping off a week of cars with a weekend of guitars. Some wonderful guitars and players. Most had a pretty good jam going Friday night, while some of us just watched. I never heard a mistake all night. The beer helped.

I thought it would be cool to make a video from some webcam frames. I couldn't see any video after Friday, so it's short...

PNW webcam video

At least you can tell there was plenty of picture-taking going on.

I couldn't tell if I was even there. I know I played a bunch of guitars and drank a lot of beer. Thanks to everyone for putting this on, especially Miles and Lisa for hosting and Damon for saving space in his Ovation hauler for me. The jam sessions were impressive. Someday I'll be able to follow along.

Got home at 11:30 last night. I imagine ProfBB is still on the road to Colorado somewhere, proving once again the value of competing in those "Iron Butt" competitions.

Yes, a great chaotic time. Marred only by some drunk fool who walked through the screen door. But even that was a good thing.
1: It's not a party 'till somebody breaks something.
2: At least it was someone who feels no shame and would not hide for the rest of the weekend.
3: I'm told the door works better than ever now.

Beer was drunk, wine sipped, guitars played. All in typical West Coast fashion....I think we even caused Al to mellow for a moment.

As always, though we had lots of other things to do it always ends up being about the people. Aussie James and his gorgeous wife are warm people, generous to a fault, who now know how to drive on the other side of the road.

....Oh heck, I'm not going to do a list right now (there's actual work piled up on my desk) but we really really like us, yes we do.

Miles & Lisa; thank you for not pressing charges. Your REAL Nanaimo Bars are waiting.

We weren't going to tell, Phil. I was amazed that a guitar wasn't dropped the first night.
There were at least 5 women, although I didn't count and that probably would have been about as high as I could have counted the first night. No women guitar players that I recall, though.

I'll vouch for you Mark.
I'm thinking that the screen wasn't reformatted to fit my monitor though...

You did a fine job of classical Gas on the Moody.

Fil - Just consider it as additional screening they may have missed at the border.
The fact that you had just mitigated all risks by clipping a penlight to your visor and had a smug grin of technical confidence just prior to kissing the mesh was the best part for me.

But you kept the hat on!
Very British of you.

What a great weekend!

Miles and Lisa, thanks so much for the hospitality! Great food, great venue! And thanks for having some of your local friends attend. They represented Mt. Vernon nicely and added a lot to the event!

Got to meet lots of new people, and get reacquainted with lots of folks from previous events

Best (mis)-use of an LED ballcap: fillhixx
Highest cranial/hanging-object contact ratio: Miles
Best SWMBO job title: Boob Wrangler
Best shotgun rewiring job (and it worked!): Alpep

SWMBO count: 5, I think?

Tons of great guitars. Highlights for me personally: Numbfinger's mint deacon. MrGolf's mint sunburst storm and FD14, Damon's 1537 with lots of mojo.

Thanks to Woody for the tune-up assistance. Thanks to Damon and fillhixx for the lessons. Thanks to AussieJames for the AussieWonderBasket including TimTams! And thanks to seesquare (in absentia) for the pick pocket!

For some reason, I didn't take many pics. But the ones I did take are in the Gatherings area.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, not only are all of these people extremely friendly, but hugely talented as well. Very inspring, all! Thanks!

Did somebody say Nintendo?
