Can I get a Set List before I commit. Also is there any Nudity? Knowing this bunch I thought I might want to ask first.
Of course if there is........ this may bring the price down some.

You can count me in for a copy.

Ohh by the way who exactly is "Miles" and why is it we send him money? And does Cliff get any royalties for this tape?

Always happy to help this site. And I also wish I had made this trip!
I think I could add some class to this whole thing.
:D

just watched the performance section of the dvd.

Wow a lot of good talent there (excluding myself)
Since I spent a lot of the time shaking hands, kissing babies and sitting in the corner drunk basking in my own self doubt and pity, I missed some of the acts.

I think this is a great idea, I hope we can do it every time. The only downside is that I will have to learn new songs every year so no one thinks I can only play just a few...wait a minute I only can play a few songs.

thanks guys

btw the dvd did lock up on me once I have a sony player but after puting it back in it started up and ran fine.

While I haven't experienced any problems on my Sony player, I have heard of a couple of difficulties.
It could be due to the length of the material. I squeezed 2:43 onto a 4.7GB disk. A lot of compression going on there, and sometimes when you utilize the entire disk surface, some players have problems reading it, especially the outer edge.

My apologies for any problems, but it shouldn't mean the disk is unwatchable.

Being an original from the Wabbit, it probably has carrot juice stains on it, thus causing problems that we have realized (and corrected) in the past.

Probably just needs a good cleaning :D

What about doing it on two discs (Tour on one, Jam(s) on the other)?

Just a thought.

Cliff, I thought about that as well.

...for about as long as it takes to burn two disks compared to one...

More time, more supplies, more cost...

I probably should have. Maybe next time(!) I will.
Or maybe by next time I'll have a dual-layer burner.

ohhhhhh, dual layer burner. Now that is something to drool about.

Problem isn't the cost of the player but the media.....still outrageous!

True.
But it wasn't that long ago that DVD burners were $1000, DVDr's were $3 per, and CDr's were $1 per.
Now DVDr's are >.50 and CDr's are .10 to .20 each.

As the manufacturers (like strings, not that many) ramp up to the new technology, the price will drop.

That's one thing I love about technology - it's about the only thing that gets cheaper the longer it's on the market.

No kidding....remember the stand alone burners!

I am and have been a techno geek for a long long time. Always had to have the latest sound format (DTS, DVD-A/SACD, etc) and the latest software upgrades and gizmos. Actually beta tested both for hardware and software companies (for free of course) in the past.

Finally learned to cool my heels a bit. I have been patiently waiting to buy an HD TV but the current price to performance ratio is still not to my liking. I figured to get really serious around the first of '07 and upgrade a couple of the sets in my home.

Like you said.....continues to get cheaper (and better) the longer it is on the market.

Al Sounds like we have a lot of the same type of music in the memory banks. You do Tommy next year and I'll do it with ya! I have a whole medley of "Who" stuff that takes about 10 minutes to get through covers Tommy, Quadraphonia, etc. I am sure we could find a Who tune or two and have some fun with it!
I am still hoping I can find someone who knows the mandolin parts on some of the Led Zeppelin Acoustic stuff.
But HEy That's next year.... until then

Peace Love Dope

Hopefully Miles will have them in hand today or tomorrow, and can get them in the Store very soon.
I know he's a very busy guy, so please be patient.

I gotta say that you guys will reeeeally like this disc. Even if you were not one of the lucky ones to "be there". And if you were there, it's a must have.
Order as soon as possible or you'll be bummed when Miles runs out of stock.

They should be in the store this weekend, along with some other goodies as soon as I finish inventory.

ttenn - we, aka the general public, are in a holding pattern until the dvd kinks are all worked out (read: until Al is apparently edited out :D ) but the disc should be appearing in the General Store any day now for us to pick up. Miles thought by this weekend but it should be very soon anyway.

Can't wait for mine!

(sigh).... Al....please refer to a previous post where I asked you to "cut it out". And I was not reffering to your parts in the DVD!!!
This benefits the OFC so please take one for the team and talk it up a bit.

Yeah, Al!

But what do we know? We're just regular old guitar players who enjoy razzin' guys who sell equipment for a living! :D
