Well, . . I was thinking of Willie Nelson's guitar, but good ol' "Terri" could apply as well . . .

Looks in pretty good shape though. Take some real heavy picks to wear through a grafite top!

Looks like the top is pretty worn by the pickguard. I'll have to guess at general condition based on that, so...take $500 for it? I'll cover shipping and PayPal fees! :p

That's a pretty cool find, Al. Thanks for sharing the story and the pictures!

Unless I'm seeing things, this one's got "knobs," which would make it pretty hard to swap out for a 47RI. Awesome find, Al. I assume it sounds as nice as it looks? (dumb question  )

I believe that Glen Campbell still has #27 and while I won't mention names, it's kind of an open secret where #41 and #50 are. Somebody with ownership knowledge should speak up regarding them..... like the person owning each?

I will admit that I do not own #41.

But given that some are known but not broadcasted, are over half really unaccounted for?

There are going to be some which are still in the collections of those famous people who had them originally. But there are a number of them who's whereabouts will never be known.

Heck, there was one that was out here in a pawnshop, in a display case. It belonged to the owner, and there was one helluva story about the owner and what happened.....

If I'm right, these pics came from Elias more than 2 years ago.
I don't know who owns that guitar now... :(

Pretty good list.
I didn't have 48 as known or 50
I thought 34 was out in San Diego and that 46 was with Art Milano who was the original dealer of these in Az
It will be fun to see if 28 ever turns up. That one was stolen from Cat Litter and we made him another.

You're right 46 last I new was still with Milano. I think his son in TX had it. It's tough to track the old man down anymore because he sold the store, even though it still carries his name.

I believe 41 and 50 are owned by the same dude.

Anyone notice on the list in the reference section that the actual delivery dates of the slotheads are not in sequential order of the serial numbers? Bill, did some just take longer to build than others?

I have a semi-detailed list in excel format. We should keep it active and maybe Miles can link it to this page, like he did for the decoder. It's buried in my website somewhere, I'll make a link when I get home Friday. Jerome could also add it to his site where he has photos of the originals.

Not sure of the reason some took longer, they were finished pretty much in order. Maybe some waited to be shipped while one after it went out right away because of the color or configuration.

Are y'sure that the dates on the list don't reflect the dates they were actually SOLD???

I know that mine was in Ackerman's WAY before March of '78.

I'll hafta' check the original receipt . . .
