Just my opinion but I think the patriot guitars would be a hell of a lot better looking without the stupid decal. I know it's commemorative and patriotic and all that but it just seems to be that it cheapens an otherwise attractive guitar. Ovations version of Felix the Cat.

Aside from the overall quality of these guitars, the art adds a tasteful, and totally unique aesthetic to its character. IMHO it adds a touch of elegance to the appearance, it certainly does not cheapen it. I'm not trying to be contrary, I'm just pitching my tent on the other end of the opinion terrain. Yup. That's why I've never bought one. They sound great! But I just can't get past the looks of them. But to each their own, and as far as threads go, this is one of the more fun "I LIKE MINE" ones.

We're with Patch as to the 'once in a life time' decal. Ya don't have to check the label or decipher a configuration to know exactly what the Patriot is and to us, what it represents. Would I call it the prettiest Ovation? Noper, but it's one of my most cherished!

I played one at the Gathering back in July. I liked it a lot, but I don't recall it being any louder. The 2080 I'm sure is every but as loud. Speaking of which, I need you to call me. Oh, and are you around next Tuesday? I got my first paying gig. 10% of the bar, so I need drinkers!
