I am a big fan of nutmeg. Plain jane as it may seem, the JL3 is the best looking Ovation of all time.

And ragtops? Convertible hardtops? Fuggetabowdit. Going topless is the ONLY way.

Yup. Mike's twin -7's take the prize in my book. No other discussion needed.

Just my opinion but I think the patriot guitars would be a hell of a lot better looking without the stupid decal. I know it's commemorative and patriotic and all that but it just seems to be that it cheapens an otherwise attractive guitar. Ovations version of Felix the Cat.

The stencil is what makes the Patriot stand out for me. Aside from the overall quality of these guitars, the art adds a tasteful, and totally unique aesthetic to its character. IMHO it adds a touch of elegance to the appearance, it certainly does not cheapen it. I'm not trying to be contrary, I'm just pitching my tent on the other end of the opinion terrain.

While we're at it with opinions, I really don't care for the reverse blue and red bursts on Adamas guitars at all. That's why I've never bought one. They sound great! But I just can't get past the looks of them. But to each their own, and as far as threads go, this is one of the more fun "I LIKE MINE" ones.

MusicMishka and I were talking 'bout that decal after he got his Patriot. We're with Patch as to the 'once in a life time' decal. Ya don't have to check the label or decipher a configuration to know exactly what the Patriot is and to us, what it represents.

Would I call it the prettiest Ovation? Noper, but it's one of my most cherished!

I'm glad the picture didn't turn out the way it could have. We had enough of that with the Fishsticks.

Now THAT is a purdy geetar.... Nice, Simple, Understated.
No fancy stuff like electronics. Just old acoustic 12 String.
I just don't play this often enough.

That's a special one Joe. The LAV Koa. There were only a few made to spec by Al and I believe they all went to OFC folks. I played one at the Gathering back in July.

I liked it a lot, but I don't recall it being any louder. The 2080 I'm sure is every but as loud.

Speaking of which, I need you to call me.

Oh, and are you around next Tuesday? I got my first paying gig. 10% of the bar, so I need drinkers!

Rev Mike, there's no fighting this one. Your twins win it hands down. I don't have any guns that big.

And the backdrop sure does beat a red blanket.
