Hey, I'm thrilled that someone agrees with me that an Adamas can be a thing of beauty!

Believe me, it's more of a joke at this stage of my life than anything else.
Any way, if it came off sounding like I was puffed up, my apologies.
Actually, I hadn't noticed. Don't worry about it.

I just saw an opening and took a shot (it's second nature).....

Well, I was the voice of an obnoxious animated bumble bee for 3 years.
That's probably a more target rich opening...

Nah, too damned easy.

JM (oddly enough, I have a friend who also goes by 2 first names John Mark, so I'll address you the way I address him and keep the clutter in my brain to a minimum) you have got to get your pics of your guitars back up. The natural back Viper and the Custom Legend (mid depth bowl?) are just stunning guitars.....

I was named after my uncle and my father.
A fighter pilot and a pastor.
I have many friends and family who call me Jm. Please feel free, moody.
And I'm working on replacing the pic's. I have a new picture making machine.

I've got a good machine for that but I'm actually thinking of getting one of the new moving picture taking machines. I'm excited.

Good to meet you Jim....

Hey folks... My daughter just received the Miley Cyrus / "Hannah Montana The Movie" soundtrack for a birthday gift.

Take a look at what is now shown in the CD jewel case.

CD Booklet Cover
CD case inner artwork, under CD

The wide pattern wood grain appears to have been "photoshopped" on the original black Adamas I as previously shown on the Billboard Magazine cover.

My wife had taken her to the movie when it was in the theater. She never mentioned to me if they actually used the Adamas guitar in the movie.

Probably the black Adamas was photoshopped. I've never seen grain like that used by Ovation.

On the small chance that it's not a photoshopped picture then I would have to be a prototyped 1537 super elite. But I suspect that it's the black Adamas....

It's a slot head. So either a real rare guitar or a photoshop job for the ages.

Look again, Bobbo. It's a broccoli head like the Adamas I. The girl's pose and position of the guitar are exactly the same in this pic as in the one originally posted, so I'd have to put my money on just the guitar top's being shopped. Good job of it, 'tho, except for the crazy grain that only we anal retentives would notice. Whatever, it's still a great endorsement of O/A for the young crowd!

It's a broccoli head. I suppose the wood could be swamp ash or maple. Was it photoshopped? I can't tell.

Uh... Shouldn't that wood be book-matched? Or at least have the grain longitudinal to the strings?

So, some photo geek doesn't understand the allure of a textured black top.
Not feminine enough...

The top grain is not quarter sawn...Look again at the original pic at the start of this thread. Same fingerboard. Plus this photshopped guitar has a black bowl versus the brown painted ones on the 1537's.

Well done by the graphics dept. My daughter recognized it as an Ovation guitar just the same. .. Talbot

by the way, it does look photoshopped, just look at that wheat field she's standing in and the size of the sun ... it's like it's from a disney movie or something.

Photoshopped notwithstanding... They're similar, but different, poses.
