I feel for you!!

That's why I play a pedal steel - can sit in the back and relax with a cold drink at the ready in the cup holder. The hours just fly by... :D

BTW: Paul McCartney's still gigging and he's older than you. 'Course, he's got someone to pack his gear.....but he commutes farther for the shows!

I don't take #54 "out" on gigs, anymore.

I've even pondered throwing it up on th'Block . .

Creaky back and knees comes from loading out and in, not playing. :D

If it WERE to "go", it would go to a "Player" and not a "Collector".

This is a Musical Instrument, not a friggin' Comic Book . . .

But will you still be gigging at 64? Will they still need you? Will they still feed you?

Anyways - congratulations.

But will you still be gigging at 64?

We should send Cliff to the mothership and have an MP3 player installed in his head. He could be like the 1st Ovation Idea performer. Just wheel him out on stage, plug him in, and he could play til he's 74. Load him up with John Denver & Neil Diamond songs just to screw with him.

Dittos. Usually getting through the night is OK but because of the limited movement while playing and the extra strapped on weight packing up is always a challenge. I already have a bad back so that does not help the situation. I get really sore and stiff and it's impossible to get loose until midway through the next day. It's what I dread the most. And I am only 48!

So why not sit on a stool? Strictly personal choice?
