Man, I wish I could make it, but it's just too far away for us.
You all have a great time and take lots of pictures.

I'm not sure I'll have anything new, but I'll bring what I have and certainly play along with everybody else. Alison, as soon as you have a central lodging place nailed down, let us know so we can follow-up with our reservations.

OK. I'm taking an extra week off and planning on being there sometime on Saturday. Probably miss the songwriter's clinic.
SWMBO's coming, although she is apprehensive about meeting you people. I guess Waskel, Dave and Karl didn't convince her that folks here aren't that bad. The fact that I seem to buy another guitar after one of these things might be the real reason for her reluctance. Probably only room for one guitar, so it'll probably be the OFC, unless someone else (Brad?) brings one.

She did vanish rather suddenly after I arrived...
I thought maybe she had an aversion to leather.

Yeah, I forgot about that. But I think your hair wasn't as scary then.
We had a very pleasant dinner with Dave. He seems very normal when he's in his Clark Kent mode.

OK, Motel 8, Motel 6, America's Best Value Inn, have all around the same rates, between 70 and 90 dollars a night depending on if you have AAA, AARP, or other discount cards. I'll have to call Hideaway Cabins and a couple of other places. You can go online and make reservations. America's Best Value is right across the street from the shop, and they do have three cabins with a queen size bed plus I think three bunk beds for around 150 if anyone wants to go in on it together. Kemo Sabay looks like the best campground. Also remember, I have plenty of floor space here at the shop if anyone wants to "camp" here. If you need a motel or campground, it would be best if you make the reservations yourself so you can use any discount cards, plus you can get the type of room you prefer. (Queen size bed, 2 doubles, whatever.)

I reserved 30 tickets to the concert. If you are going to the workshop your concert ticket is free. If not, the tickets are 12 dollars. (She is charging 15 for the general public.) The cool thing is, she has decided to keep it to only 50 people only for the concert. You'll be liking it.

My guitar collection keeps changing, but as of now I have a 1617 Legend, a 2077LX, the Parlor, a 1587, a 1687, an OFC1, a 1758 Elite 12, an 1115 LEFTY 12, and a bunch of non O's. Actually, the only one that's for sale is the lefty, so all the others will be here, plus who knows what else I'll pick up between now and then. Somebody remind me to start changing strings pretty soon so they'll all be fresh!

Alison ... we were looking at a place called Historic Log Cabins ( http://historiclogcabins.com/ ). Do you know if they are OK and if they are fairly close to town? Seem interesting and fairly inexpensive.

MIB ... Kimby-D will be joining me. She and LadyMIB can talk about our obsessions with DING!s and DING!s. We will likely make the trip in the silver bullet.

It'll carry two cases, with some extra room for a couple of other small items. I'll likely only bring one. A regular carry-on suitcase fits under the front bonnet. Perfect.

SWMBO's Cayman will only hold one, awkwardly. I have to add golf clubs and put the rest of the stuff in the front trunk. We're looking into a car top carrier.

Don't. Do. It.

There'll be plenty of guitars there already.

Speaking of which, what is an OFC'07?

I can bring what others might want to sample so let me know ... here are some possible non-dups:

OFC2 Wideneck
JL3 Reissue
Book Elite
1537
K1111 Reissue
EA68 Viper
6759 CL12
2000C Lacewood

I have others too. Also Takamine and Hamer if you want.

If I'm going to be gone for 2 weeks, I'm bringing a guitar. Otherwise, I'll have to buy one on the trip. Since I bought #47RI from Stephen on the last trip, I think SWMBO is going to watch me like a hawk on this trip.
I just updated my signature line so anyone can suggest one of mine.
If the 30th Anniversary in Iffy's list isn't the same as the 04 CL Commemorative, I could bring mine. I'd like to see someone bring an OFC2. I haven't played one. Is the OFC'07 the same as the LAV Koa? If not, I could bring mine. I don't see a Folklore, a 1713 or a Ute. Bringing one of the Ultra GSs would be easiest, but I'll probably get the roof rack anyway. I've used them on Porsches for years. I'll put the golf clubs and other stuff up there and keep the guitar inside.
Maybe if all the people who can bring multiple guitars get a list together, those of us who can only bring one might be able to fill in the gaps.

Mark listed that one.

Alan (alan814) listed that one.

Now that the 'menu' is out, just email me your 'wanna fondles' and I'll update that list as needed. If ya have one on the list and will bring it, email me and I'll delete it from the updates.

With the limited traveling space available, I'm just trying to maximize the desired flavors without dupes.

I've temporarily listed what I have available for ya'll to sample over on the NING site. Just email me if one or two strikes your fancy.

First 'Request' update:

2008C
2009C
2078LE-AS
5858 Elite Limited
OFC II

If I'm the Mark that listed the OFC 07, then I meant the LAV Koa. If I'm the only one who intends to bring a LAV Koa, I'll bring that one. If someone else has one they want to bring, I'll bring something else.
Since I'll miss the jam on Friday, I hope the rest of you won't be too tired to stay up late on Saturday/Sunday. If you are, just leave all your guitars in the shop and I'll spend the night there.
