Here's what ya do Mark... just get in around noon and find the nearest HOOTERS to loiter at for a while till the event.
To take it further... Find out when a couple of the "wait staff" get off work and arrive at the music store with one on each arm... (or is that two on each arm???)

Great plan, Brad, except that I'll have my wife and daughter with me. I'm more concerned about making it from the airport to Bellevue on Friday in time for the Roadshow. Our daughter doesn't get out of school till 5.

If they don't start too early, I should be alright. We can get in at 3 something and wait for our daughter to pick us up. If that doesn't work, I'll be in touch about bumming a ride. I just tried to call BAM, but they closed early. I see the Taylor one is the week before and starts at 6. I hope the Ovation one starts a bit later and goes past their usual closing time of 7.

Look forward to meeting you. I got an email from BAM saying that the restring is from 4-6 and the event starts at 6. I probably won't make the restringing and may not bring a guitar anyway, but will be there before 6.

Anyone want to throw together a gathering on Saturday? We're still planning on attending the one in Bellevue Friday and Damon and I talked about going out for Thai food afterward. Then we will stay in Tacoma till Sunday.

Mark, I'd love to host, but I don't have much of a place for entertaining....

Too many guitars all over the place.

I just told my daughter not to worry about leaving her guitar in her car all day so she could bring it to Bellevue, because between Ovation and Damon, there will be a ton of guitars there, most of them Damon's.
I figure Mom and Daughter will probably end up in a mall somewhere Saturday afternoon and I'll need to find something else to do. I should probably check to see what they have planned other than visiting her school.

Any "early returns" on the Tacoma show?

The Burlington show was a blast and even met a brand new OFC member who I'm sure will show himself here in the forums.

It was really nice to see Ovations in town, and I think they sold a few guitars too. There were a lot of impressed faces. The iDea preamp seemed to be the largest hit as we have a lot of singer/songwriter types in the area.

Doesn't look like any OFCers went to the Tacoma one. I need to remember to bring the camera to the one tomorrow, but if Damon's there, I'd be too embarassed to post my pictures alongside of his.

I represented Our Order in Richland. Small group of attendees. Good presentation by Adam & Danny, though. That Idea preamp IS pretty slick.
Played some nice guitars, and entered the drawings. Nobody took the option to perform. Certainly, not moi.

Bring your camera, I wasn't planning on taking pictures.

It's ready to go. We'll be there in a few hours. We decided not to check luggage, so no guitar and no Syrah.

'Purple' is right around the corner from the Thai place, besides, I have plenty of wine.

I don't know that I should bring all the O's, even though it would be a lovely history lesson. I was thinking just current ones, so...

Adamas 2080
Elite 1778LX
Custom Custom Elite C2078LX 12 string BCS
Al Dimeola Custom Legend

Or should I bring others?

Hey Miles, you think they'll re-string a 12? :D

I agree with Miles' earlier statement. We're going to Ovation's show, not our show to show off our Ovations. Anyway, that's my excuse for not bringing a guitar. It makes some sense to bring something newer, so it doesn't lead to a discussion of the good old days and discontinued models, unless part of the sales pitch is going to be how they can build a custom model just like one of the discontinued models.
Maybe I should have gone to the one in Richland. I wouldn't have been overwhelmed by the show of talent by everyone but me.

We got no offers for restringing last night, so I would have been somewhat presumptuous at taking in one of my BFLG Spcials.
As for presence of talent, yes, I was the at the nadir. Some young woman of, likely, early 20-ish, grabbed hold of a 2080 "one-off", and sounded like Al Dimeola- "I've been playing about 5 years". Crap, just shoot me.

Tough week for me, missed it all and won't make Portland tomorrow.

I was able to plan out a successful "Walk the Plank" event at work AND attend training to get my Mediator certification!

Guess I'm just stuck here with you's guys...

Some nice guitars at that there show in Bellevue, too bad Damon bought em all :p I kid I kid, there was a lovely custom wood-topped Adamas one-off that I would have loved to take home with me... but I do enjoy sleeping inside my house at night. :D

Mike too bad you couldn't make it, was good fun! And Mark it was great to meet you!

It's been a spendy day, first buying the Adamas, then there was a deal I just couldn't pass up at the show.

I now have a brand new black custom elite contour to go with the black adamas I bought from al earlier today, which matches the black 2080, then there's the black al dimeola and of course the black vxt...

How much more black could my collection be? It wasn't so long ago I remember saying I didn't like black guitars.

I guess the saying's true... once you've had black...

I swore to myself that I would bring a camera... Of course I forgot.
They had a great presentation. And I learned something about my Adamas guitar...
Adam PUNCHED his... And I have been concerned about taking mine outside?

Then they did the video thing and I played... And I was skeered.
They say that they will put it up on the Facebook or YouTube (whichever) in a coupla weeks.
Only four other acts played, a Duo, and three other single performers.
One jar-head was really good, and he didn't need amplification!
He said that he learned to push from his diaphragm while singing Cadence.
Since I sang they gave me a T-shirt.
But it has a Celebrity on it! See?

The only other OFC'r there was David (DVD), and he sends his regards.
