Another great show!Originally posted by AlexJW: My story started about the same age, and the same album too, but instead of "dad" it was mind altering substances and headphones that influenced me I think. Originally posted by Damon67: A man with impeccable taste ;) ... Thats been my answer since I was 14, and my Dad played 2112 in the car :D Rush Alex Lifeson has always been my #1 influence on the guitar though. I can pretty much say it was those dudes that got me excited about buying an electric guitar... and for me, that's kinda where it all started.

Enjoy In spite of the vid I still love that song! an4340, I watched "Up With Peaple" performing in an USAF hanger in '68. The show happened to coincide with the 250,000 hours of accident free flight hours celebration at the base. The next day a student pilot pancaked a F-102 upon 'landing'. So much for 'up with landing gear'... :D

We've got another slothead owner on this board who toured his slothead with Up With People for like 8 years. And he's more normal than most of us. Susan Cowsill is still making records. The recent one is supposed to be quite good - at least that's what the Amazon review said when it gave me the "you might like" dance. She's pretty hot for an old chick. Still. ;)

In the liner notes for one of the Chicago album remasters, there is an anecdote about Hendrix saying to one of the Chicago members, "Your guitar player (Terry Kath) is better than me."
