As a side note, he and his side man were playing Martins but went to Ovations. Made a big difference in his sound (for the better).

Susan was starting to bitch about how much dough I was spending and in one store it became a toss-up between Jim Croce & a Kinky Freidman DVD. Kinky won, so no, I don't have the Croce DVD, but I'll get it when she's not looking. There's a couple of stills on the DVD with the Kinkster playing a Folklore

Maybe W-2 can correct me on this, but Lennon wasn't seen with an Ovation until he was recording the Starting Over collection in 1980. Gimme Some Truth was done for the Imagine album. I've posted this before, but just for the 1500 or so that have joing the club since then, here it is again: (pause) ... oh hell, I can't figure this out. I posted them in the gallery. Check it out.

I believe those pics were from more around his Sometime in New York City period. Winston O'Boogie.... I wonder how many people will remember that? And ... if memory serves me correctly, isn't he playing it in the Imagine movie? Of course, my memory COULD be failing me...

A great LP I was fortunate to be exposed to years ago is "Sold American" "And everything’s been sold american, The lonely night is mourning for the death it never dies. Everyone’s been sold american Don’t let me catch you laughing when the jukebox cries." Kinky Friedman And of course the classics "The Ballad of Charles Joseph Whitman" and " They Don't Make Jews Like Jesus Anymore" :) :)

Ce La vie, god damn french always get in the mix.

I look at my music collection and think.. If anybody comes in here and looks at this they are going to die from Culture shock! :D Guess i just like all kinds of music.
