Well, that's strange, when I go to Intellicast

and punch in Palestine, TX as the location I get a differnet forecast than the link I copied into and pasted...

One more try:

Palestine, TX forecast

That one seems to work OK...

Well,

I couldn't get there any sooner than today, or stay any later than tonight, but we had a great time!! Kid on a Pony absolutely OWNED that venue, and our hosts Dave and Deb are just wonderful, generous, people. In fact, Everyone there have "hearts as big as Texas" Do not miss this get together next year!!

Sorry about the lousy camera phone pic. I know there will be better pics in the "events" section later.

I guess I could say if you party you will pay for it "the morning after the night before". I purposely stayed sober, and look what happened...

Did I mention there were some REALLY nice guiters there???

I guess I'll declare the weekend a success. I'm pretty worn out after driving back home this afternoon (in time to get to our 5 year old's class picnic!) Between the OFC folks that made it and our friends from the Kerrville Folk Festival we had a decent turn out. I think everybody enjoyed Old Magnolia Town, and the music was almost non-stop. Special thanks to Mike Stephens, our area Ovation rep, he brought several guitars for us to try out. I'll need to get my old fashioned film developed to get my pics posted. Others should have some up soon (Craig?)...

Thanks to those from the OFC that made it:
George Dubick, Denton, TX.
Craig Martin, Converse, TX.
Tom Tennant, Keller, TX.
Fred Williams, South Orange County, CA.
and me Paul Wagner, Fort Worth, TX.

We all owe Paul and his family a HUGE debt of gratitude!! The event was wonderful. Even the "outsiders" enjoyed all the guiters. I think we may even convert Mark. at least Patrick was playing a Takamine 12 string.

Sounds like you guys had a great time. Disappointed that I could not make it, really looked forward to meeting the guys from the OFC.
(Had to officiate at a funeral, 11:00 Sat. morning)
Next time.

I really enjoyed the weekend and hope there is a re-peat coming next year! It was great to meet with OFC'ers in person for a change and now be able to put a face with the names.
And yes Paul, it was a success! :)

GREAT weekend Paul! Hats off to Deb and Dave! I think they enjoyed themselves too! I;ve got 120 pictures, so it may take me awhile to load them up!

It was great meeting George (and Tommie), Tom and Fred. Of course, I knew Paul from last year and weve gotten together a few times since. This is going to be a GREAT annual event!

Now if I can just remember and note all the models we had represented....

And as you can see from the smiles on everyone's faces how much fun it was to get these shots.

That is me and my bandmates: Kid On A Pony
Somewhere there's a shot of us all playing Ovation's that were brought up!

OFC photo, left to right:
George Dubick, P. A. Eddie (she's one of the Kerrville crowd, plays her Celebrity...), Tom Tennant, Craig Martin, Michelle and Mike Stephens (Ovation rep), yours truly, and Fred Williams.

Thanks for helping post, cliff...

It is an Elite T with a special paint job. The Ovation rep (Mike Stevens) has it. Pictured here is his wife Michelle.

She can hold her own, by the way.

Here's a Cobalt Blue Adamas Millennium, also belonging to Michelle. The color just seemed so deep in this model, and I'd say it ranks as one of the best Adamii we had this weekend.
