Jim,

I'll meet up with you or meet you on the island or share the room or whatever, I'm there! (that is, if there's a slot open :) )

Tim, there is space in the room with Music, the Wab and I. Unfortunatly Randy has had to opt out. P.M. Music Mike, he is the room and trip leader for us. Look forward to meeting you. Get that check to Unca Beal! ;)

I think there was one spot left that SlipperyKid was angling for and then Randy had to opt out.....so there should be 2 spots available.

Well, the cast is set.... I'm in.

I have not checked on room availibility yet, but I'm hoping to share the expence with someone.
If it's anything like the Tour the room turns out just to be a place to close your eyes for a while.

Awesome!!!

Sorry Cliff, no mud wrestling involved. Maybe a crappy shot of Brad driving the golf cart into the pond or me getting my hand bit off by a gator?

Brad - if Tim ends up in the party room, we can split a room if you'd like.

I've just not been here cause it's been so slow to post anything. The problem seems to be fixed now.

By my calculations with Randy out there were two spots left. Sounds like Tim and Brad have filled those.

I'll post the list I have later today on a new post to keep it clear.
Maybe on that one you guys could put the room arrangements so we know everyone is covered?

See you this afternoon

Beggin',

Yes, I'm seriously considering selling my UTE. I've had both the FD-14 and the UTE for several months now and the Folklore is the one I consistantly pick up. These are very similar guitars in how they play, but very different in tone, both fantastic. I've just settled on the FD-14 as my go to 12 fret slothead. I love the sound of the cedar top and mine plays so smooth.

Now I've got to start working on prying my fingers of the neck of the UTE and give someone else a chance. It is a great guitar and I love the carabon fibre top and its sound. It's just these sudden GAS attacks and the need for additional funding that I need to deal with.

What's on the horizon? Hard to say right now. Maybe a 12 string or a nylon or something else. I'll have to see what comes along.

Someone ought to throw their name in the hat for the UTE, in case Blues does decide to sell. It really is a wonderful guitar. I already have one and it ain't going no wheres anytime soon.

We seem to have an uncommonly high number of "Brads" attending.

Crimson & I are good for a room.
If I had not booked it the only ones left after that were the Honeymoon Suites. How scary would THAT have been!???

Now..about that list.
I know Cliff doesn't want to hear the "I'm not good enough" excuse, but it seems to me that I'll be breathing some pretty high air with this group. I just don't know where a guy full of cowboy chords and second tier British Invasion tunes is gonna fit in with all these regular "giggers".
I'm afraid I might just end up fetching this and fetching that or making sure Music Mike's vestments are pressed for Sunday morning or toting around Tim's guitar cases.
But seriously, I'm looking forward to this. BrianT is the real musician of our little duo and I need to kick it up a notch. I know from experience with tennis that playing with someone better than me always picks up my own game.
BTW... should I bring my racket???

How far can you drive a golf ball with your racket?

Actually the Bausch and Lomb women's tennis tournament isn't till the next week. If you're staying you might want to bring the coconuts.

That entirely depends on which members of this group you happen to stand outside with...

Brad, I told you why I'm going. Those reasons make sense for you as well. You play out more than I do, I'm just a Sunday morning guy. But playing once a week or maybe jamming with players that are not at the same level as I am (that's not meant to put anyone down, when I go to the Tour I often feel way inadequate) is not going to improve my chops. Being challenged by some pros and semi-pros and even quarter-pros will force me to watch and learn, maybe (hopefully) even DO.

I would let you tote my guitar case, but I'm not bringing one.

Depends on what racket you're in.
