FedEx (and I'm sure UPS and DHL) prices have been skyrocketing recently due to the fuel prices. I just shipped a guitar yesterday to VA, 2 day express insured for $2300. and it cost $85.

Four pages after Damon asked what guitars people are bringing, all I could find was his, Brad's Adamas and tdeej's unidentified vanload. Woody better bring the Koa or I'll find someone to kick his ass. I'll be an emptyhanded wuss and Wabbit is a pussy who isn't coming. Anyone else want to add to Damon's list of guitars? (We know Miles' will be there.)

I'll bring what I've got, but I wouldn't cross the street for THAT.....

Well, the T-head has historical significance. But it's "modified"...

I'd cross the street for a modified T-head!

I found that wearing underwear under your shorts helps keep this from happening.

Off to Victoria next weekend to renew my passport so I can come to your fine country, y'all.

Of course, being a fat bald white guy, U.S. border patrol usually just asks how long I've been out of the country.....

I just reserved a room for me and mine 3rd-6th at the Tulip Inn.

Will be bringing guitars, my favorite amp, STANDS, and three kayaks!

I am trying to talk my Wife into holding a short seminar about "life with an obsessive musician and why we love them anyway". Poll your better halves for what THEY want to do!

Miles - do you need some support, funding or hardware? Lemme know...

Mike, there was an offer some time ago about low rent accommodations at your place on June 2nd. Is this still on the table (or, more appropriately, the floor) or is there a motel some place close by you that I could spend the night, but still visit with you that evening?

Let me check with the Manager!

I'll tell her that you are a Thespian Travel Agent from Colorado (she had a nice road trip there once and would love to hear more) stopping in and I know that we could at least offer a sleeper sofa, shower/fridge and music room.

Of course, I could just lay down the law and say "cuz I says so" and we could share a corner on the roof!

And if you show up Sunday we could take you to dinner following the "rowdy" 6:30 service at Newlife!

Thanks, Mike. We'll stay in touch.
Other than a few camping trips with my m/c pals, this looks to be my only "personal" vacation time this summer so I'm looking forward to it!

Kayaks! Did you say kayaks? That's one of my next projects after I re-skin the Coracle.

Let me echo Woody. STANDS, I'll be bringing every stand I have. (Makes the group-shots look bedder.)

They're too worried about stands Mark. We're gonna end up with a picture of stands.

I have a load of stands.. so with the extra's we should be all set.

Have plenty of sound support and amps for Acoustic and Electric and plenty of quiet "unplugged" space as well. But, if you have anything interesting... well that's what it's all about.

I think us locals can pool together and take care of the food and beverages easy enough.

If all goes according to plan we will be in the States for 12 days or so.
Working out an itinerary now.

Mate I'm coming "empty handed".

Don't think I'll be heading home the same way ;)

It would be a crime if you went home empty handed indeed.

Though, you should be REQUIRED to bring one... my pick! :D
