Someone needs to post a pic of Kim and Amy's "Chip Bowl" which gave a whole new meaning to the term "Tupperware" I'd have posted a picture myself if the scumbags who work for Continental Airlines security hadn't stolen my camera from my checked baggage.

I've filled claim forms with continental and gotten my money for a new pair of skates. I'm sorry the punks stole it. The F'ers. I hope you file a complaint.

Because, if you did and need to stash them somewhere, I could make space... Looks like it was a blast, guys (& gals). One of these days I'll actually have to make it to a get-together. Excuse me while I wipe the drool from my keyboard...

I'd have posted a picture myself if the scumbags who work for Continental Airlines security hadn't stolen my camera from my checked baggage. TSA personnel can open them, then relock them. They show if they've been opened using the key (and there darned well better be a TSA slip inside!) and make great evidence for claims if something's stolen while in the airline's care. Luggage handlers will rarely bother messing with luggage that's locked - certainly not when there's so much around that's not!

Definately the plus and minus 3 sigma of the Ovation/Adamas distribution. Laying in the grass up front is Balladeer #36 with the original long style truss rod cover. Probably more rare than the slotheads. Also lost in one of the other photos is a proto of the 2004 Collectors. There WAS no 2004 Collector! So this is the only one. Fyi, most people consider the CL30 to be the defacto 2004 Collector. Another gem is an old ribbon rosette shiny bowl balladeer with a SUPERSHALLOW BOWL. The bowl is finished in WOODGRAIN. The mando probably slipped by most peoples attendion. It look similar to a Book MM68. But it has INLAID EPAULETS like the modern Elites. Very cool. The longneck Adamas 12 string and Adamas Bass didn't get a lot of attention due to the other new stuff around, but they are WAY COOL. And the PALMTREE RESONATOR is just something to kill for. An Amazing collection of instruments.

First, I've never seen an 84 with a natural top and wood binding. Every other one I've seen had a dark grey stain. It was beautiful to look at. But more importantly, the sound was rather incredible for a super shallow bowl. Much deeper and much more mellow than you would ever imagine it would be. Bill commented that for about 14 years, it was all he played. I fully understand that comment having now seen and played it myself.

The Adamas LongNeck12 (and the Silver/Blue Adamas LongNeck) are Wintering in my MusicRoom. Did anybody notice that the LongNeck12 is strung "Rickenbacker"?? I may have to re-caulk the windows in the MusicRoom to minimize the "rattle" . . . whatta' Beast!!! The PalmReso also somehow made it into the Cruiser's cargo hold (that Uncah Beal AM a "sneaky one") . . . Will try my best to make sure that as many as possible are represented on the OFC/CD2 submission.

Though, I did watch, with some amusement, it all happen. The top on Bill's 84 needs to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Phenomenal Bear Claw.

Joined: January 2002 Posts: 14127 Location: 6 String Ranch | Thanks all, it is a great guitar and the only one in natural. The other prototype was the grey also with bear claw. The bear claw didn't make the cut to production, I guess they weren't ready for it yet. For those who weren't there it was a wonderful time. It had a very homey feeling, and while some of us have never met we know each other from this so it's not like we're strangers. Although some of the people there were really strange, but that's par for the course. Our deepest thanks to Kim and Amy!!!

M(Unless of course the Owner wants to keep it private)Woody. Just be thankful they were Cashews and not the Honey-Glazed ones! If it were the "Q" you could pressure wash it!
