There is another low priced motel that wan't open when summer started, but I went by the other day and they are now open for business. They are advertising a single for $39! It's called Riverside Inn, and their phone number is (605)745-5191.

We got thunder last night but no hail. They are however, predicting possibly severe thunderstorms for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Doesn't mean we'll get them, but it's possible. The good thing about all this rain though, is the Hills are greener than I've seen them in years.

The Crimson Lake crew is hitting the road. We'll have one extra - my oldest son Mike. He'll be participating in all activities.

Hopefully we'll be arriving some time friday afternoon.

Everyone have a safe trip!

We'll be arriving Thursday evening and staying at the America's Best which looks to be nearly across the road from Alison's shop. We got some kind of cabin there.

I only have one vehicle I trust for that distance and speed, so let's get the hail banned for the weekend!

Yes, everyone please have a safe and fun trip. It's a beautiful country with lots to see, and it will be culminating in the most beautiful place in America. (IMO) How cool it is to be hosting some of the finest people, with some of the finest guitars, in my beautiful home!

Safe travels, everyone. We won't join you until Saturday. We didn't think we could get away early enough on Friday, so we made a hotel reservation in Jackson, Wyoming. If I wake up at 4 like I did this morning, we may get there about the time you all get up.
I don't know about the most beautiful place in America, but it should be on the list. I can't say much for the stretch going from there to the Midwest, though.

Yeah, it may be pretty flat when you get east of here, but when the landscape doesn't offer much to look at, just look up.

Bob, if I could have three wishes, world peace and a long-neck Ovation would be second and third. My very first wish would be to have you here. I promise we'll play a song and drink a toast to you. And maybe next year...

Alison, I'm gonna bring my longneck twins, the 2080D 12 string and 6 string Adamas.

That should cure the craving and spoil you forever.

When Alison meets the twins, BT will sink down the list to third.

I hope to run into the other Mark at the concert or after. I'd like to show SWMBO one of the original slotheads instead of the "damn reissue" that I've got. We won't get out of here till 3 tomorrow. Just a bit too far to make the Friday jam session, so we'll see you sometime Saturday afternoon.

See you Saturday evening then...I really like the reissues too - they had 30 years to hone the craft - it appears one other original might be there too...if so - you'll get to experience how the originals are just slightly different,(Cliff describes them like homemade cookies)mine is there for the playing - so help yourself when you see it...

Just a quick note. People are starting to arrive. As I type this, Karen and Brad are playing some pretty nice stuff. I'm going to go back and play with them. Will report back later.

I am so disappointed that events conspired to take me out of the gathering. None are bad ... except that they kept me from living an adventure I had been dreaming about for six months. Y'all have a good time and play Ziggy once for me.

Karen and Ellen, Johnny and Patty, and Professor BB just left to go eat at Wooly's. I have to stay here because I have to give a lesson tonight. Looks like there will be a lot of action at Historic Log Cabins tonight - they have set up a gazebo for us and Brad hung an Ovation banner. I'll hang a sign on the door for any late comers tonight so they'll know where we're at. Oh, this is going to be fun...

StephenT has arrived. And Flysig and the girls are here. You know, as good as the girls sound in the videos, live they are so much better.

Everyone is going to go crash now after long days of driving. I'm going to go home and sleep now too. (Been up since about 3:30) But I thought I'd write for a few minutes because Johnny has gone back to his motel to bring me a cooler full of - SEAFOOD!!!!!

Sleep tomorrow night so you can be rested up for Saturday night. If I lived on the other side of the State, I'd join you tomorrow night, but these States are too wide. Tomorrow night the Tetons and Saturday the Black Hills.
I'm bummed Bobbo can't make it. I don't play Ziggy, but I'll toast you with the others.
