Ciff, Glad you are OK. Really sucks about the car. My friend has a VW Golf that has quite a lot of room in back for gear. His is a 5 speed stick and it zips around pretty well. Dave

Hey Cliff, I've never (thank god, satan, and osama) had a car totaled. What exactly does that mean? I mean, who get's the totaled car? Is it yours? I'm thinking you could probably part it out on ebay for like $50,000. net or something. Like Sam's old preacher pickguards. Dave

Glad to hear you guysa are ok, Cliff, and sorry to hear about the ride. I'll check up here and see what they've got around. We're not too far. If you can't find one, and you're not stuck on an American car (and before everyone starts poundig on me, I've bought my share of cars made here too, ok?), consider a Forester. They're very solid and dependable, lots of room and mine's even a stick. Just a thought but I'll look around for you just the same.

Watch real entertainment (such as the great cinematic classic, 'Old School') instead of PBS once in a while and you'll see where this reference came from.

And for the record, they are not enough. Baked Alaska should be the equivalent of it's namesake, in my opinion.

IxNay on the OxBay . . . .
It might be just me, but whenever I see a Scion pull up, I expect a whole bunch of clowns to jump out and start running around. Either that or Shriners.

REALLY sorry to hear about the PT, Cliff. Not exactly my cup of tea, but my Dad had one and over several years I must have driven 3000km through Holland, Belgium, France, Germany and Switzerland with him. He loved that car, too. I made several 8 hour drives from his house in Holland to his house France and back when he was infirm, and had to carry a lot of stuff. It a little (!) light on power, and a manual and a turbo would help. But a really good car for what a lot of people need. Maybe you can find a nice used one and get the Mothership to do an EliteT red flame paint job for you.

Glad you and Jeannette are OK. Cars are replaceable.

Let me check the local dealer down here. They're big on the PTs.

It lacks the PT mojo, but it should work and the price is right.
I'll vouch for this, Cliff-it's really a nice vehicle. The amount of space, considering the footprint of the car, is amazing. It would make a perfect "gig-mobile."

My grandparents own one. :D
