But drier...

It needs to go to Designilla, lock, stock and Dadi!

It should go to the southeast. Hurricanes or not.

If you're worried about the guitar getting damaged in a hurricane, you should probably give due concideration to relocating your own ass....

...bring the guitar with you.

No worries Jeff. in 04 we weathered 3 storms in Orlando. All my guitars were safe!

Bring it on!
The guitar I mean, not the storms.

Time to beat the horse again...

Has the WRB made it to Florida (and 'Zilla) yet? Is there a list of where it goes afterwards? I know Tom (tten) requested some time with it as well as some in the NE quadrant...

I know it landed in FLA. Last I heard, Dizzy was acting steward.

Oh yeah, it's here. I'll probably be ready to send it off in 2 or 3 weeks (or 4). I'm pretty sure LeStrange1 is next on the list.

I think it was determined (in a seperate thread) that LeStrange is supposed to be receiving it shortly.

So....hate to confess my ignorance, but I cannot figure out what the WRB tour is. Sounds like a book with ever expanding trinkets added...is that correct?

The one on the right is the WRB.
The one on the left is a whole 'nother story.

Is this layout for the 'takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' promotion?

Man, the WR is a beautiful guitar. I am next on the list BUT if someone would like to take it to the Southeast gathering, please notify Designzilla ASAP before he sends it to me because I am not able to attend the gathering. :( I'll just have it sent my way afterwards.
I'll tell ZILLA right away. Okay???

JeffreyD, the thought was that it would get passed around. I kind of inserted myself into the NW recipients and tried very weakly to get it around to you and Waskel and others, but I ended up taking it down to Dave in Arizona (back in the good ole days when he was StandingOvation.)
He quickly passed it on to Southern California as I recall and then it stalled somewhere after that.

Maybe another guitar needs to "take the Tour" and relieve the pressure?

Hmmmmmm...

Hey everybody! Sorry to bogart the WRB. There has been way too much crap going on in my life. Way too much work. A death in the family. Hurricane scare. Possible job (and lifestyle) change! Lots of stress. Keeping a guitar by my desk is the only reason my head hasn't exploded yet. Haven't even had time to lurk in weeks.

LeStrange, thanks for the heads up! I would be happy to send the WRB to someone for the SE gathering, In fact depending on where and when it is (and if life gets back to normal) I'd love to go to a SE gathering! Let me know.

It will probably be next week before I can get her and the trinkets packed up and sent. So just tell me who and where.

Holy crap! I'll never get caught up on all the posts I've missed. I'll bet Mark in Boise has acquired another 3 or 4 guitars by now!

Nice to know you missed me, DZ. The big news is that I actually sold a guitar last week. Replaced the Applause 12 with a Balladeer 12. I was talking to the guy that bought it this week and mentioned ttenn's JL3 for sale. He said I should go for it, since I haven't bought a guitar for a week. I'm going to try to hold off for a year.

Wow Mark! You can't just go cold turkey for a year. You need to ease off gradually. A week is a good start. Now buy the John Lennon and try to make it 2 weeks. If no deals come up try for 3 weeks!

I know I can't do it for a year. I survived the winter by buying Ovations for my 2 daughters and a couple friends, then bought the CA and Folklore the same week. I had a tough time resisting that 30th Anniversary Custom Legend a couple weeks ago. There are many Legends out there. A 30th Anniversary would be nice for our 30th Anniversary next year.

You should check into that, Mark. Mine hasn't arrived yet. What's the tracking number?

Just send me the money you want to spend and I'll see what I can find.
Tony, we'll be spending a week in San Diego next summer and I will find a way to meet you guys. That will be just a few weeks before our 30th Anniversary, so I'm scheming.

Well, gentlefolk, it's about time for the WRB to be moving on. I would like to thank JW for allowing me a little extra time with it while my new one is being rebuilt at the Mothership. Very kind of you Jeff and, rest assured, I'll be in line with the others to buy you a cold one at the Tour. While mine'll take another couple of weeks at the shop, I figure by the time we figure out who's next in line, I spiff it up a little with new strings, buff it up, throw one or two things in the trinket booty and we get it moving, those coupla weeks'll be just about spent. I know there were a few Northeasterners who were asking about it - who's up?
