Location: Campbell River, British Columbia | There are rumours of a Payola$ reunion, apparently Bob Rock and Paul Hyde were working in the studio as of 2003. But if the free release of their first effort Bomb is any indication you aren't any more likely to hear them then you were when they were "the next big thing" in the 80's.

Surely there's something that the locals guard jealously from the haolie tourists?
Speaking of The Haolies , their first album was way cool...especially their version of Sleepwalk, with their own lyrics! But I think they're originally from NY/Brooklynn. |

They used to do some amazing things on stage together. Unfortunately I only have an old audio cassette version which is well past its use by date and I doubt the album is available anywhere today. |

Location: NJ | Speaking of albums and stinking, I heard on the radio yesterday that the new Eagles album will be coming out soon.
They also said that for the first YEAR of it's release, it will ONLY be available at WalMarts.
Judging by WalMart's past business practices, I'm sure it was stipulated that they would only sell it if they had "exclusivity".
If this is true, I think it's really sad how a once-great rock&roll band has TOTALLY "SoldOut" . . .
