What's all the drooling? Back then Mustangs were just Falcons with different body panels (which took about a year to start rusting-through). Oh...sorry.

my '64 ranchero. only pic i could find. it's actually my second car as i bought it soon after my brother wrecked the cadillac i was given as a graduation gift from high school. this was a sweet ride and the only ford car i have owned. had a 289, holley 4 on the floor and an 8-track. many girls and surfboards have ridden in the back.

I remember thinking that if Chevy would only put the Distributer in the right place like a Ford it would be a nice engine. Dodges were just wrong.

Now the only reason to lift the hood is to add washer fluid and when the cat has been missing for a few days.

But it seemed as tho the question was asked and answered.

Well, yeah. Bill answered it in the second post.

Everything else is just gravy. Gravy for the brain.

Lanaki, nice hair, sweet ride.

This was what the hippy musician drove.
Mine was faded fire engine red.

fillhixx,
i wish i still had the hair and the ranchero. as far as the girl, she was wonderful but it's her dad's teethmarks i still wear under my right armpit.

it just dawned on me what this all has to do with balladeers. the girl in the picture, leslie, fell in love with me after she heard me singing ballads. that'll work and now i feel somewhat relieved for my part in hijacking this thread.

I'll bet it was the hair, not the ballads.

one of my stepdads had a '58 or '59 chevy panel truck that he used for his art business. we painted it emerald green and he then painted "Village Art & Sign Shoppe" logos on both side panels. seeing the pic of the hippy musician's wheels reminded me of that.
