Then some like the original version of Layla keep your attention and some of the Allman Brothers stuff, they had to be long so you could finish the joint. Anyhow here on Amelia Island at the Florida House (www.friskymermaid.com) there is a singer/songwriter night every Wednesday. There's a topic, you write a tune and perform it. The ones that work are about 3-4 minutes long. You get longer than that and the vacate factor sets in. No big extended solos, most couldn't do one anyway and most acts are solo. | ||
