OMA, bring the 1112. I'll bring plenty of SuperGlue & razorblades. Oh, not the help you were looking for? That's OK, I'm a skilled helper; it's second-nature.
OK, I am familiar with "Knockin'". Maybe we can do a duet, or lean on our more skilled brethren for lead accompaniment.

About a month to go. We've got four or five confirmed (barring life commitments).

Come one, come all.

What are you guys doing Friday night? I'm coming over for a wedding on Saturday. My daughter has to be there for the rehearsal and dinner Friday at 5, but I don't have anything planned. If you want to get together someplace, I'll buy the first round.

I said that once, to a small group of Beaver Valley Ski Patrol dudes who helped-me-out on a project.... $450.00 later...

It's somewhere north of Hillsboro, but I'll be in Hillsboro. I know my way around pretty well if you want to pick a place and I'll try to remember to bring the gps.

Well, maybe dvd will want to join -- he's in Forest Grove. Perhaps he'll weigh in -- we've got some time.

Cheers!

Yah I'd be up for that. Anybody else in for something casual Friday evening? If not, the three of us can take this offline to coordinate.

There's a few tavern type that are kind of central. West of Portland
Cornelius Pass Roadhouse
Rock Creek Tavern
Both McMenamins establishments.

And a little farther west, out in the "sticks" (well, at least the last time i was there) is the Helvatia Tavern Doesn't have it's own website.

I think I've been to all of those places. I'll see if my folks want to go to dinner at one of them and maybe you guys could just meet us there for dinner or after.
I think the rehearsal is off Helvetia road, so the Helvetia Tavern might be really close. There isn't much "out in the sticks" anymore. My relatives have lived in Hillsboro since the early 70s when it was a farm town of 15,000. I think it's up to about 85,000 now and intersects with a bunch of other little towns.

CPR is a zoo on a Friday night. That's where all the local geeks go to unwind. RCT wouldn't be bad. Trying to think outside the McM's box, which is hard, as they're about the only game in town on the west side.

Closer in I've heard the Raccoon Lodge is good, and Laurelwood in NW is definitely a winner.

We can bottom out on something when the time gets closer.. weather and event calendars may offer some suggestions. ;)

Helvetia is in the "sticks"?? That's 20-30 minutes back into town for me!

Sorry I'll have to miss it, we had a lot of fun last time.
We'll be in the woods, voluntarily lowering our standard of living.

Well that sucks. Now no one showing up can actually play the guitar.

(just kidding folks :) )

I resemble that remark. I thought all I was expected to do, was ogle-and-drool.

Sorry guys, won't be able to make it. Summer's filled up much too fast.

More about the weekend just past on another thread in a moment or two.
