I wish I were in the market. Ovation is once again making guitars that talk to me. But new guitars are hard to justify while owning a 1537 / 87C / 1983 1117, all in great condition. These new guitars make me wish I were a young man just starting down the guitar road and carrying a full load of G.A.S.

I've reached out to my Sweetwater sales guy with the errors in their listings. They are showing them as deep contour, and then also say they are non-cutaway, when they are deep non-cutaway.

I read aomwhere that they have mid bowls, if they actually have deep bowls this changes everything for me. I love deep Ovations, I may be very weak...

I also let my rep know the errors; I expect it to be Mid-Bowl

It's listed as a 1767 which should be a deep bowl and the models they showed off at NAMM were supposed to be deep bowls so (fingers crossed) it sounds like they are making US deep bowl Ovations again.

FlySig I also sent an email about the errors in the listing to sweetwater we'll see if they change the description.

Interesting. I wonder if they actually have LX necks. I like the retro specs. But the bowl size is confusing. Price looks actually reasonable.

Are they going to lacquer the tops or are they going to be a flat finish?

Here is a listing from Thomann it says bolt on neck with 2 way truss rod and has the TR cover on the headstock so looks like an LX neck design,it says roundback and under specs it says DB which I hope means deep bowl,I wouldn't trust the sweetwater specs

Thomann has a lot more pictures; looking at the space above and below the preamp, it sure looks like a deep bowl.

It's deep. The only thing that I would do differently, is to offer it with a torrified top. But that's it.

It seems to be a deep bowl indeed that's great news for me. Now if they only made a non cutaway model...

This! I would have no other option but to pull the trigger if they do wind up producing one.

I think you can order them from Sweetwater in US and Thomann in Europe.

Interesting that the truss rod wrench is a little smaller that previous; it's the really long one even though it's at the headstock. The truss rod nut is very far in the cavity, farther than previous LX.

I like the satin finish (top and neck) but that's always been my preference.

I swapped out the Gotoh 510's (1:21 ratio) with gold finish and 'normal' buttons for Gotoh antique gold (also 1:21 ratio). Easy drop-in replacement. I like the buttons and the non-glossy finish, nothing wrong with the OEM tuners. Picture below.

Nice switch on the tuners. It is always enjoyable when you can do something to make an instrument into your own configured pleasure.
PS: That is an interesting white color on the skunk stripe.
