Ground Zero of one of the most hysterical phone calls of ALL TIME. STILL brings tears to my eyes thinking about it.

I manage to check in every couple of days.
There's not a whole lot of new news to discuss but I love sharing the knowledge and passion.

In the first photo, back about four deep, one step up, far left next to the right elbow of the big guy in the black jacket and orange shirt, white hair and white beard . . . I recognize about half of those present and miss them all.

The "instruments being thrown" was an unrepairable celebrity. No US Ovations were harmed in the filming.
And yah, the kitten thing wasn't working, we couldn't find any puppies, and Moody was just too damn big...

Hey Captain,

I have to correct you on one thing. Technically part of you was there. This was the tour that we gave Mr. Whitehead your artwork. I took his picture when he was presented with it. I don't want to post it because those pictures were even darker than the ones that I had posted. I finally figured out / trusted the settings a few weeks after ther tour. When digital photography first started I went to the annual Photo East convention in New York and I had a conversation with a camera company rep. My question was.. How can I be sure that the film speed on a digital camera will be the same as a non digital camera? Result. Dumb look from rep followed by a moment of silence then he finally said UH......... That is why i didn't trust the camera in the beginning and was experimenting with it this time. At the time that I took these photos I only had the camera for a few weeks.

Still here, I think I was on deployment during the first few Factory Tours but made a few of the Southern Style Jams and Clinics over the years. Miss seeing all my friends and fellow pickers, unfortunately, life never deals us exactly what we hope for. Would love to attend another gathering and drag along the 50 lb case with my doubleneck :-)

I wasn't in the picture, but still here from time to time.  There for a while coming back here was like re-reading the obituary of a dear friend.  I've moved on and am hovering between steps 4 and 5.

1. Denial and Isolation
2. Anger
3. Bargaining
4. Depression
5. Acceptance

Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better. ~ Chief Inspector Dreyfus

I hope all is well with all of you!

I haven't heard from me in years.
That's me bending down behind the trebuchet (make of that what you will) - and that's Jerome looking lost and horrified at what is about to happen.

He's probably wondering why we bothered, what with the nearest English castle so far away.
