Now I'll go back and read ALL the quotes and info on each guitar. Also, thanks for including a VXT (my passion is for the old solid bodies, so an electric was a nice inclusion). All in all, I am very pleased. For Overall Quality, beats other guitar calendars out there, hands down!!

My cobbled-together creation, REZ-XII, a 12-string, pre-amped resonator, made the 2014 calendar, for August. One, I'm humbled, two, I'm completely surprised, & three, I'm terribly honored. Pretty fast company, with all the other exquisite instruments, to be sure. Patch, I am forever in your debt for this. Approbation feels real good.

The calendar would get boring fast, albeit in a very flashy kind of way, if it was filled with nothing but snazzy, custom Adamii. The best thing about this nuthouse is the variety, not just of the instruments catalogued here, but the breath-taking scope of personalities fueling all of the G.A.S. And I think the calendars should take a game stab at illustrating all of that. I'm glad you're all pleased.

Joined: October 2012 Posts: 1091 Location: Yokohama, Japan | My OFC Calendars have made there way across the Pacific to Japan! Thanks a bunch Patch. They actually arrived about two-weeks ago, so the shipment did not take long at all...just got around to opening the box up today; and boy, what a calendar! It is absolutely beautiful. Actually, I was kind of expecting a bunch of "Snazzy custom Adamii", but this calendar enables me to experience the more personal side of the OFC! I love all the comments, and I learned some new stuff too. I didn't know the VXT was a chambered mahogany body! I have a Thinline Tele (similar) that I just absolutely adore, but now...(and to think I was narrow minded enough to write off Ovation electrics) I gotta hear what a VXT sounds like. I've probably looked and read through the calendar more than a dozen times today. From Astro Dan's Limited Edition to Mark in Boise's 1997 Collector's, they are all magnificent. Seesquare's Dobro is just so very creative! I did not know Walnut was even considered a tone-wood...and just so stunning. But then there's Gemm's Elite AX...no offense, but that's made in Asia isn't it? For a guy like me who can't afford a USA Elite, seeing this guitar on the calendar makes me feel like I can be a part of the OFC without having a complex about owning Celebritys! Perhaps I might even own an AX! Now, that's dangerous because maybe oneday, I'll be making a comment like Bburg, "Now I have 20!" That'll be the day. Sorry for the long winded post...just really pleased, and I know my friends are going to be equally pleased! Thanks again! Edited by arumako 2013-11-23 11:44 AM

Joined: October 2012 Posts: 1091 Location: Yokohama, Japan | Thanks Gemm. Your Elite is a beauty. I've got a Standard Balladeer that I picked up for real cheap on the Bay just over a year ago. It wasn't in perfect shape, but my local luthier did some maintenance and it's turned out just magnificent. The 1861 is the only U.S. made "O" that I can get my wallet around, but I've always wanted an Elite, so I'm savin' up...maybe in 2 or 3 years I'll have my own AX! Thanks for the inspiration. And Patch, you must be the consummate gentleman...I feel so privileged just to hang-out here at the OFC. Happy Thanksgiving to all! Oh, by the way, what is G.A.S.?
