Ok, maybe not.
Weas, would you like somebody to just come over to your house and play the guitar for you from behind a screen while you hold your guitar and just look like you're playing?
Ok, now we're cooking on all burners! Keep those thoughts comin'! :D

Okay. If you're buring it to a disc, you might want:

G8r\'s g8rbowl songs PDF

Southern Style Jamboree Songbook PDF

I'm pretty sure I have the Slipkid Trinket, since I made copies of all the CDs and DVDs that traveled with the Wooden Roundback when I got it.

Sorry. It worked for me the other day, I thought. It was g8r's link to his file, which must have been removed.

G8r, can you send Crimson that file, please?

Should be working now. There was a problem with the server. Cap'n, what about your Fogelberg tunes?

Brad - I've got yours - thanks!
Are word docs ok? Tabs, chords ok? Maybe we could start a list of songs in the project.

I can pretty much work with any format. I've already started combining what's been sent so far. Either post it here, or email me through the site.

Just a thought. There are several online "communities" (Yahoo Groups, Google Groups) that support file storage. Perhaps doing this online would be the way to go. This way people can download what they want. It also makes updating a lot easier. I'd be happy to look into it if you all think it's a good idea.

Jas - I have received a bunch of stuff - including Otto's. As a first step, I can put what I have onto my Comcast fileshare. I'll check it out tonight.

I'm writing PDFs of Otto's DOCs for me. I can send them too when I have them done. It was quite nice of that young man to spend so many hours building a book so we could steal it. We need to keep that in mind when we consider what suckers to invite next year.

Just for my own sanity and possibly Mike's also, is there a simple way to capture the files' info in a Windows Explorer folder and import into Excel for data sorting (finding dups)?

TIA

Yeah,I'm a sucker, Jas. But I'm a lucky sucker. Finding the OFC, especially the Southern division has put me on a good road. I'm thoroughly enjoying making music again! I don't yak much so my posts may be infrequent but I check in regularly to learn. And laugh. With all that the OFC has given me, it is my privelege to share. By all means include my books!

After watching Matt Smith's lesson about practicing effectively, I'm convinced there's more merit to these "cheat sheets" than we think. The one thing Matt says he "can't stress enough" is the importance of playing the standards in whatever genre you choose. If we want to be better acoustic guitar players, we need to learn "The Weight" and "Blowin' in the Wind" et al.

It's just over 2MB and 259 pages.
