I certainly hope no one is suggesting that the one on "vacation" hijacked a user id...I would not believe that for a second and neither should anyone else...he made a mistake; who hasn't? I'm sure he'll abide with the decesion, apologise, and hopefully be back...that said, lets get on with life; realise the limits, and put it behind us.

Ditto for me. Actually, I'm here to learn more than much of anything else. Email's a lousy way to poke fun with people you don't know. John

IMHO, there's only one real way to thank Al for all he does on this forum . . . make him your dealer when you're ready to buy.

Just have him ship it to Florida. Then you come down here to get it.

That would also solve the problem of the large box sitting by the front door when the wife gets home.

At least I know it would be in good company (Gainesville or Amelia!).

I have everything shipped to the office. Safe, secure, regular delivery services, I know all the drivers, no questions are ever asked, and the products can be taken home at a time more convenient to our mutual schedules.

I'd have a dozen guitars sitting in the office waiting for the right moment to take them home and let my wife see them. Though it's probably better to have her really mad once than have her get mad 12 times.
Edit: I just realized I can only fit one guitar in the Boxster, so she'd be mad 12 times anyway.

I work out of my house... therein lies the problem. I did manage to sneak in several solidbodies in very small packages. Just waiting for the right time to reassemble them.

Guitars are easy. So are power tools. Full size motorcyles are more challenging. I once snuck in a Harley Low Rider Custom. Got away with it for about four months, too. Then she looked under what she thought was a tarp covering some lawn care equipment. As Cliff says, I had some 'splanin to do. The pain eased up after a week or two.

Mark, just change your specialty to music litigation, hang a couple, couple on a stand...tax deductible.

Good idea, Tony. I should have thought of that. We had a couple lawyers that bought artwork that way. I wouldn't even have to change my "specialty" (we don't have too many specialist lawyers in Idaho), I'd just call them art or office decorations.

They could be "available for clients to play while waiting to see their lawyer". Better than a 17 year old copy of Reader's Digest and the local realtors sales listings.

Then you could take them home for safe-keeping.

As a new member I have to mention why I joined. I found a new love for Ovation after purchasing a sweet sounding 1537. Wanting to find out more about this model I joined and was welcomed with open arms {so to speak} and have sure learned alot in a short time, which I think would be one reason for the club in the first place. I never gave alot of thought to the poor people who run the site until I noticed this post, and like many other clubs I have joined there are always a few bad apples, and very little praise for the people who take the time and effort to monitor the site. Speaking only for myself I would like to thank everyone associated with this site and know I understand how difficult it can be. Please keep on the same path you are on and continue to run as you see fit, it sure has worked so far. I am behind you in all decisions.
Thanks again
Jim Simpson
