The PF-22 never made it to production. There were about 20 units made. This is one of the very first." And for my money... much the same as with songs... the first take is the best. As you can tell from my choice in M22 pickups, I like'em a little warmer sounding, but still with upper-mid punch. I think the wood on the above guitar and on the top of this one... the wood does just that..

It's really hard to tell cuz there's so many different options you can pick. It's almost like no 2 are the same. I got mine considerably less, but it needed new electronics and bridge and lots of cleaning and a new setup with the new bridge and all. Minus the labor, I guess I'm into it for under $800. Mine does NOT have the acoustic bridge tho.

Joined: January 2006 Posts: 5881 Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | When I was getting into electric guitars back in the early to mid-60's in Southern California, I remember obtaining some Carvin brochures, possibly direct from their factory which at the time, I believe, was located in Covina and I only lived a few miles away. The thing I remember most was their amps. Big and beautiful. Of course, I couldn't afford any of it, but when dealing with GAS, step one is collecting brochures. I might still have those somewhere.

The thing is a much better guitar than I am a player. I do have to have a intermittent short figured out, however. Somewhere near the plug the piezo cuts out sometimes. I touch the wires in the area, and it's back. I used it on this track: (CAUTION RELIGIOUS CONTENT) and it screams. (song has a long header and is not in final mix yet...ran out of winter. The OD guitar over powers everything else, so I need to finish up the master one of these days). Reflect by Jeff I have owned a DC135, AE185, and a couple of Cobalts and now an LB75P. I do like my Carvins.

But I will accept your comments as a compliment. : (as long as you don't make me watch Metal Band video's again) :D :D :D
