Paul, We'll have two medium swirl cones please.

I saw my screen name on a guitar lable once, thought it might work here.

The source of my name is related to Mwoody's. Randomly computer generated 10 years ago when people still had a memory of DOS.

I can't believe how much mileage we can get out of an innocuous question.

wish I'd put more thought into my original answer.

I am actually a dream that a butterfly had once during the Ming Dynasty. I'm not at all here right now.

no, too.....gay.

This was my response to being called an empty mindless hick.

hmmmm, not bad.

Truth is, in one of my semi-retired periods (my staff wouldn't let me in my store for a couple years..) rather than spend time at a strip bar or the golf course, I hung out at the video arcade. In those days the high score register would only take three characters so...FIL. Later, they'd take more characters so...FILHIX. Then that wasn't enough characters for the email service so...fillhixx. (a little e.e. cummins influence there in the end.)

BTW: Capt. Lovehandles, nice Shakespeare reference.

I wanted to pick a name that would describe myself. My first 20 or so choices were all banned by the admins. So instead I picked a name that described my guitar. Dave

I'm actually a gorgeous buxom 18 yr old blonde nymphomaniac who likes to to have wild parties. But, I masquerade on the internet as a boring redneck middle aged married man. Part of that masquerade is pretending I fly for a living and enjoy competing with SigArms pistols.

I think I and two of my friends played (drunken) Uno on XBOX Live with you last Friday night. Are you sunburned right now and require some assistance rubbing lotion all over your body right after you take off your bra?

If I had it to do over again I'd just use my name. At the time I thought having a "handle" was something just short of being madatory.

"Jewel" is my CE868LX-4; her name is from a verse in the New Testament (Revelation 21:11, "It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel..."). It is my hope that God will be glorified through her as I play and lead worship.

Duh! You mean we were supposed to do something clever? One of the first boards I participated in had several Marks, so we started adding where we were from. I'm too lazy to change. That's why I only have one kind of guitar.

my screen name (shovel) came from dictionary, about 10 years ago when i was just starting my adventure with internet. I was looking for a nick that i could use on IRC, and i thought that i'll take any random chosen word from dictionary that will have less than 9 characters (IRCNet had such a restrictions these days).
I've got used to it.
LBJ came from this blues-name generator.
And it's quite funny, because i'm a basketball fan and i have the same initials with my blues name, that have LeBron James.

btw.
i still use the same samsung keyboard i've got with my first pc. And i don't know what i'll do when i will have to change motherboard and on the new one there won't be a PS-2.
Maybe some converter?:]

Back in the late 80's I supervised a graphics dept. We were networking all of our Macs. The computers had to have names so we started using Stooges - Moe, Larry, Curley, Shemp - and ran out of names. So we switched to japanese monsters. After watching a bunch of Godzilla movies with my kids there were plenty of names for the computers. Since it was my department my computer was Godzilla. When I got big new computer I called it Designzilla. I liked the name and have been using it since about 1988.

Oh man, to have a screen name for almost 20 freakin years makes me feel really old!

I just picked a couple of random words. Coincidentally in the Indian dialect of Urdu "Paul Templeman" translates as "Annoying asshole" What's the chances of that?
