Sooooo untrue John. Your album still moves me, when I'm looking for that kind of movement.

I have two gig's one on that Friday Night and it is a good paying one. A party Saturday from noon till whenever.... it's for a close friend and it has been planned for more than a year or I'd skip it.
I can head down on the Sunday Morning, for the day (leaving realy early) if anyone wants to tag along let me know I will have room for a couple of people and 1 guitar each. I plan to hit the NYS Thruway at the Fonda exit #28 and on south from there. I figure 3 hours one way.
Let me know if anyone from Upstate is going and can only do the last day and I will keep a seat for you.

Randy

I commit not to come. I'll be sunning my buns in Florida. But I sincerely hope you all have a great time.

You already have me on the list, right? If you can't get enough people for the hotel, I can commit to ChezPep.

I'm still working on details from my end but will chime in as soon as I have a definite answer.

Al, when is the drop dead date for committing to hotel rooms and attendance?

I'm seriously tempted!!

1. I have been to the US 4 times and never been to New York
2. I can fly return to NY for twice the cost of shipping two guitars to Oz.
I still have 4 there.
3. I have 20 weeks leave due.

Decisions, decisions!!!

I'm impressed that you know who Skyhooks were, and that AJ doesn't drink Fosters (not sure who actually does, now that I think of it).

I was wondering if the stuff they kept at home was any better than the export. (or brewed-under-license as it is...)

Have three Skyhooks records, found the first one in a used record store and was drawn in by the cover. (remember cover art? Jas?) Such songs as You Only Like Me Cos I'm Good In Bed, Ego Is Not A Dirty Word, and Why Don't You All Get ****ed!....and I was 'hooked'!

Probably the same stuff they had at home, but they were a great live band. I saw them live in about '78 or '79 at the University Refectory in Canberra. Platform soles were handy for wading through an inch of beer on the floor. Lead singer died in a light plane crash a few years ago, so no chance of a reunion now.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, haven't had a Fosters for years.
Used to drink a bit of it in my much younger days.

Skyhooks were a great band.

Such a shame about Shirley.
Helicopters are dangerous things!

You have to translate that from Oz to English. Means he can't drink a two-four and load two cops in the back of their own car.
