Alan, I'd like to extend thanks for your enthusiasm. Your attempt to start a get together may have prompted this. Al gets stressed out about organising these, but always comes through. Those of us that need someone to take charge really appreciate those that step up and lead.

Great shape its in. Matt Smith is world class player. I loved seeing his "Koolest guitar in world, one day a year." Tangeray bottle green with shamrock inlays on a strat. It was great to finally meet you. It great seeing everyone! Rick Hall, on Saturday Kim Keller on Sunday, Thanks to AL for putting this togeather. Not to mention inviting us to your home for the BBQ. It was nice getting to meet your wife & Tim It was great seeing faces from the board. Allen Karen Weaser(Bill), Jeff W, Cliff, Crimison Lake it was great seeing everyone. I was surprised by the small town feel of the area. It was great seeing many of you again. In general the players were Tired very tired.

I learned much, played a few of the many options there were to choose from--and if you ever get a chance to play Jeff W's small Cargo (I think it was??) guitar, you're in for a treat. So much talent in such unassuming, humble, caring people--for those of you who haven't been to a get-together yet, when you do get to go, you won't be disappointed. --Karen

I'm heading to work soon, but I'll have some thoughts on this in a bit. Anyone else? Surprises? I was surprised at how nervous I was to play at the open mic. The surprise for me was that I have been a college teacher, done hundreds of corporate presentations, sometimes in front of thousands of attendees, been in command of my material and winged it, and I was DEFINITELY feeling the nervousness on Saturday! I heard that several people had signed up, then backed away at the last minute. I understand that impulse now! As Matt said, ya just gotta do it! High points? Seeing my kids get into it. They were bored to tears throughout Matt's presentation, and I was paying rapt attention, so there was a WHOLE lotta shushing going on in my little corner of the room. But, when they got into it, it was really nice for this daddy's heart! Only low point is one that was my fault...I should have figured that the kids would be bored during Matt's time on stage, so the parts that I missed while trying to keep the kids occupied was my fault. Lesson learned!

He's got chops, two nice kids, one of whom took Weaser to the mat in a chess match- and he is a straight-up nice guy. It was a pleasure, Alan.

That she sings and plays from her soul is so evident. PEZ is going to be a character in my next novel. "Tim and The Kid" were great. I've never seen Al play with such freedom. Cliff tore up the joint with "Overkill" and then produced more destruction with Al.

They just stood by and enjoyed watching me cry while the real culprit took me down. Truth be told, it was Nicky, CrimsonLake's evil Flame T-toting protege who enjoyed every second of bringing me to my knees in a shameful public display. The kid's a shark I tell ya.
