Overheard two schoolgirls chatting this morning. One says, "Was it cardiac arrest or didn't his heart catch fire or something?"

Because the paramedics were from the LA Fire Department.

The legend lives on!

Farah and Ed died of cardiac arrest too. Must be something in the water. I heard he choked on a Hardy's ham sandwich and is actually still alive and living on an island with Elvis and JFK.

Paul, given your line of work you should know better than to make a statement like that

He was an alleged paedophile. Not only that, he was an alleged paedophile who used his wealth and influence to buy his way out of the judicial process.

Can I be the first to say I didn't/don't care either way?

About his death, or the fact that he may or may not have abused children?

What he did with his music, Thriller and the others of that time period, and his work with Lionel Ritchie and Quincy Jones was truely outstanding and took it all to a new place. It wasn't my favorite but I can respect it.

Then there's all the rest of the story, which in my mind eclipses the good.

Kinda like OJ...............

"Can't wait for the Alien Autopsy photos."

I was so close to saying that myself - but I used my filter. Thanks Dave!

Was MJ an Organ Donor?
Let's watch Ebay...

Don't get me wrong, I don't like to see anybody dead and I feel bad for those he leaves behind. Like poor Macauly. Nobody to play swap-the-underoos anymore. Very sad.

Here's a blurb from the nypost. It looks like mccartney gets the beatles catalog!

It's unclear how much will be left in his estate. Jackson had planned a series of comeback concerts, slated to begin in London next month, to replenish his cash flow, and the London Mirror reported that he left the Beatles catalog to McCartney to make amends.

The NY Post citing the London Mirror  . None of that is true. MJ did have some good lawyers watching out for him. His lavish lifestyle was costly and he was in huge debt. The scheduled London concerts (50 sold out arena shows) would have helped his financial situation. He bought the Beatles catalog of songs for $50 mil and sold half of it years later for $150 mil. The remaining half was placed into a trust to protect it from creditors.

I don't remember where I was when I heard the news, but odds are that Wabbit and I were sitting at our computers on the OFC.

I hear Michael Jackson won't be cremated. Since he's mostly plastic he'll be melted and turned into Legos so little kids can play with him for a change (rim shot).

OK, since you guys started it......Apparently cause of death was a heart attack brought on by him tripping over Blanket's baby stroller. Coroner blamed it on the Buggy.

McDonalds are to introducte a tribute McJacko burger. 50 year old meat between 10 year old buns.

MJ - only in America can someone be born a poor black kid, and die a rich white woman.

In accordance with Michael Jackson’s will, little boys’ pants shall be flown at half-mast today.

(and quite a few others that are far too rude to post here)

"The summer's flower is to the summer sweet,
Though to itself it only live and die,
But if that flower with base infection meet,
The basest weed outbraves his dignity:
For sweetest things turn sourest by their deeds;
Lilies that fester smell far worse than weeds."

What does MJ have in common with a grocery bag?

Both are white, made of plastic and dangerous around children.

No, clinically everyone dies of cardiac arrest. Doesn't matter if it's cancer, hit by a bus, or gun shot to the hear ... the very last action is that your heart stops. Even jesus died on the cross of cardiac arrest.
