Couldn't find it. Seeger was great at leading and singing a song at the same time. Made me think of that. Thanks for the post.

Actually this thread provides links to ol' YT vids that some of our newer/younger members may not have had the pleasure to view... especially since Ovations are highlighted and some may not even know of the renown HC. Johnny, that is exactly why I posted this thread. Except for the occasional playing of "Cats in the Cradle", most of Harry's work isn't played on the radio. It's also why I posted a vid from Jose Feliciano. I actually met a young guitar player who had never heard of Jose. The same for Jim Croce and Maury Muhliesen, which is why I usually post vids on the anniversary of the day they died. Michelle

I chose to link the 16th cuz Harry is there. EVERY day is the death anniversary of somebody famous. Today (7/17/10) Billie Holiday OD'd in 1959. John Coltrane in 1967. Also, Mickey Spillane died in 2006 and Walter Cronkite died Last Year.

Wasn't too sure about the bestiality reference in the one song about the sea captain, left his wife with his dog, but hey, it's all good. And isn't being famous and traveling a lot, maybe in small planes, really dangerous? It'd take a long time to list all the musicians and other public figures killed in plane crashes. I should be OK, though.

Neal Diamond has "it" http://www.neildiamond.com/ and lets hope it's many many years before we see him in an RIP thread. FWIW, according to several sources, he prefers Gibsons and Martins. However, I've seen many photos with him an an Adamas. Back on track.. I always wondered why Harry didn't play an Adamas. It seemed like such a fit for him and his style. Playing to hundreds one night, 1000's the next, with an Orchestra, or just with his brother and couple of others. Seems like necessity would have him playing an Adamas..... of course he wasn't big on spending a lot on himself... so maybe that's it.
