Currently I'm cheating on my Patriot by using my 02 Collectors. I had to -- the 02 Collectors was getting jealous! :)

A player guitar that I put together:

Beat up Viper III body,
Preacher neck pickup in the neck position,
Regular Viper neck pickup in the middle position,
Regular Viper bridge pickup in the bridge position,
Early Breadwinner neck (the one with the narrower front to back profile).

Has a good amount of versitility.

1868 Elite SSB is the "mainest" Ovation I've had. After trying tis and that, when I got it I knew I'd found one to stick with. I use my 6778LX pretty regularly, but I'm always happy to get back to my main squeeze.

I have one of these (the 1868 Elite SSB, that is)! I love it! I bought it for a REALLY good price and figured I'd use it for a travel/beater guitar. Then, I realized how nice a guitar it is, and promoted it to a regular player. I guess you can't go by price to determine the travel guitar!

Jas has a good point: I guess I DO have a "mainest" Ovation: probably a tie between the FD-14 and my OFC II. Two SPECTACULAR sounding and playing guitars.

My main Ovation: Lost Art Vintage KOA 12 or 14 fret.

I probably prefer the 14 fret a little better. Awesome guitars !!!

Brad, I think you might be confusing Yucaipa with Tidewater.

My main one was the Patriot that Michelle is cheating on. Then it was the 04 CL. The strings looked crappy, so I played it once more before I changed strings. Did that for a couple months until I took the LAV Koa to the Black Hills and it was the main one for a few weeks till I got the 2010 and it's been the main one since. I try to spread it around.
