I hit the West Seneca Guitar Factory show Thursday night. Pretty low key but very informative for those who haven't been properly indoctorinated. The Kaman guys (Adam and Danny) brought a handful of very nice Adamii that were put on display for any hands that wanted to pick them up and try them out. Only a couple of players came out (that was a little disappointing) but there was one young guy (maybe 19 or so) who was a killer singer and pretty good player. Talked with a handful of others and had a great time. Adam demo'd an iDea and did a nice job of showing how fun it can be. I've seen it before and he had me thinkin' about it...

Wish it were a little longer (my drive was two hours each way for a two hour production) but I would recommend it especially if you're looking to try out some nice Adamas models that you're DEFINITELY not going to be seeing in any local GC.

I'm still shooting for the Firehouse Guitars visit near Grand Rapids, MI this week. I wonder if they'll put new strings on my Ovation Magnum Bass also??? (:

Anyone have a contact phone number they can PM me, so I can ask the guys some questions ahead of time?

I called the site in Muncie Indiana for the times and such. I asked if they would re-string and electric with larger strings for free also, and the owner said no just acoustic guitars. Vince you might as well bring it see what happens. I just can't wait to go. I have never held let alone played an adamas, because I can't afford them. But I will give it a ride.

Scott, I'll be at Muncie. I'll be wearing a CHICAGO BEARS JERSEY
so you can't miss me. It would be fun to meet.

Well ... I just called the store and they informed me that things are not kicking off until 5PM and into the night. That is going to create a problem, since I just got rid of the two vehicles I had and bought one, and the wife has plans for its use on Wednesday night. Oh well.

Take it first. Plead ignorance or memory loss later.

I think I'd rather enjoy her good cooking for the next week more than a night in Grand Rapids. The doghouse in Northern Michigan is a cooooold place.

Kitmann,
Cameras are allowed. Adam and Dan were great about that. I gave Al all the photos I took at the show. Approximately 140 pictures.

I'm goin today.
Leave work a 2... get home about midnight.
My duo partner could not get out of work which really shortens up the number of songs I could do.
Oh well... it'll be Sydney or the bush.

Al,
I saw the photos on my droid. They seem a little dark( Hope it was just the phone). If that's so I can redo the pictures and send out another copy.

I REALLY like this roadshow idea. I hope they'll look at possibly expanding the idea to include more locations. I really wanted to go to the MI one, but would have to fight the wife for the car that night. This would also be a good way to organize and promote a lot more OFC gatherings.

... Oh, by the way ... If I ever run away from home, I'm gonna' find some way to pitch my tent near Al's Lost Vintage shop.

To be to harsh. Rick explained that he was on the west coast yesterday morning.

Moody... He was real impressed with the condition and the playabilty of a 41 year old guitar.

Bobbo.. about the shoes... When I'm gonna drive for 3 hours straight, I don't tie up the tennys.

Moody... I blew in a call to you about 7:00 your time. I was 50% into a long, lonely drive and was desperate for some conversation. I mean really desperate. Obviously desperate.
