My 1758 label is not in that way. Probably will make it worth more 100 years from now. :D

Not a recent picture of Glen either. :D :D

Good luck guys. I've got one just like this and I personally believe it's worth a lot more than what's on the board right now. It's not like they're gonna make any more like this or anything (:

OK ... Sorry. The truth of the matter is that it's NOT Really that great of a guitar, and I was really suprosed to see it go up over the $300 mark. :)

I see the other "Vintage Elite" has already been spotted by an OFC'er or two.

No pull'in the wool over your eyes!

It's a candidate for some TLC at the Factory.

I think that's why Woody said it's a candidate for some mothership TLC.

At the right price, could be a great get!

Nice grab. I tried several times without getting a 1537 off ebay. One just like yours went for $1200 a year ago. Even had the paint worn off around the back hatch. The market seems to have softened considerably or all us suckers already got one. Too bad you don't have a SWMBO to explain that to.
Seriously, that looks like a wonderful guitar and I bet the paint on the back is an easy fix if it bothers you.

Actually, I feel somewhat guilty because I thought I was leaving Norseman plenty of room to still get a great deal.

Since I've never played one before, I guess I will now find out if all of you guys are full of sh#t or not!

The paint on the back, or off the back, doesn't bother me but we'll see how the playablity is and if I like the neck. Do these have a slightly thicker neck than most of the newer models. I think my S771 is slightly thicker than most and I have found that I really like it.

The neck is more adamas like, definately thicker than the newer models.

If you decide you don't like it, I will take it off your hands for what you paid for it......and I am without a doubt full of sh*&t.

Weathered 1537

It has seen better days, but mine are yet to come!

How much do you think it will go for?

I really should just save for a Longneck but I can't help myself.

Norse(I think you'd be upset if you saw this guitar)man1, I really wouldn't have done this if it were not a local pick up for me. But this guitar is almost pristine. I got back about 15 minutes ago so I haven't had much time with it yet. This guy didn't know what he had. I think it might still have the original strings on it. There is virtually no fret wear on it and when I first picked it up the first thing I noticed was the dust on the tuning key knobs. This guy hadn't even tried to tune it. I strummed it and it was amazingly very very close to being in tune, with only the A and D strings slightly off. The only blemish, besides the paint on the back is a little bit of flat white paint on the edge of the very top of the headstock and most of that came off with one light scratch of my fingernail. I haven't tried plugging it in yet, so we'll see about the electronics later, but even with brown strings it sounds great.

I don't know why the paint is flaking off of the back, but other than that you can't find a more pristine guitar on the floors of most guitar stores.

I really do feel kind of bad. But not bad enough to part with it! All I can say is you definitely have the right of first refusal and a special deal if I ever decide to sell it.

I will post more about it when I've had a chance to check it out fully and change strings.

Wow! Nice deal, real nice. I thought for sure the snipers would come in on this one at the end. And local pick-up -- doesn't get much better than that. Congratulations!
