I can't believe nobody has grabbed this yet. This is a beautiful example of an incredible guitar. Whoever buys it will be very happy with it. It would be nice to keep it in the OFC.

i just bought a 1537, so discretionary funds are low -- even still, i've been tempted, just from a hoarding instinct i suppose, to grab this as well.

I have Stephan's Black 1537, this natural one would be a great companion. Ah well, perhaps in a few months.

These really are great sounding guitars -- so unique.

Waskel, I'll try to bring my 1537 over to Portland in August just to show you what you're missing. Since I'll be driving the Boxster over on the 5th, I might not have room. If I take the 1537 over as my passenger, would you keep it for a couple weeks so I can bring it back after the 19th? On the 19th we'll be taking my daughter back to UP, so I may not have room for my guitar on the way up, but would have lots of room on the way back.

Mine will be there :)

Still, it would be great to hear them side by side for comparison.

Mark, I'd love to. Keeping it is easy. Giving it back might be harder...

I got to play Jeff W's in CT last month (jammin with Al and Cliff on Moondance!) and enjoyed it. I'm trying to justify getting one... maybe if I have yours for a couple weeks my wife will fall in love with the sound.

Our old lawnmower went ka-put last weekend. I made sure Mrs. Slipkid went with me to pick out a new one. I made it clear that whatever she liked and felt most comfortable with was the one we would get.
Pretty clever, eh?

Got to hand it to you, Brad. Now you'll get the pleasure of pushing around a lawn mower that your wife is comfortable. Very clever, indeed.

When we got it home first thing Pam wanted to do was cut the grass even though it was done just 3 days before.
But enough hi-jacking...
Somebody.....please buy Jeff's 1537.

My favorite lawnmower (true) story: Jim, one of the attorneys in the office, walks into Gerry's office and catches him getting a hug from his attractive secretary. She embarassingly explains that Gerry just gave her his wheelbarrow. Without missing a beat, Jim says, "What do I get if I give you my riding lawnmower?"

When I married my Bride she came with a John Deere Lawnmower and a wheelbarrow.

She thinks power tools make nice Anniversary presents as well.

Mine came with a new Ovation and a 71 VW Camper. Her other attachments were pretty nice, too.

Wonderful. Great to hear that it stayed in the family. Maybe next time it comes around, I'll be able to take a shot at it.

Reminds me of a funny story at work:

One of my co-workers was getting married (his third) and sent out invitations.

Another co-worker was going to be out of town producing a show that weekend and sent the following RSVP:

". . . Terribly sorry that I won't be able to attend your Wedding . . . but I PROMISE that I'll make it to the Next One . . ."

1537's are such great guitars! I've been trying different strings on mine and was just not happy with the sound I was getting. Wednesday night at the Chop Shop at West LA Music, I was given a set of Adamas 1818's (lights). I put them on last night and found that rich deep mellow sound that I had been searching to re-find.

Congrats to whoever bought it.

Don't you mean "expose" himself?! Jeff, You're slipping man... :D :p :D :p

I like the 1818's too. They're not "the greatest string for every guitar", I they hit the 8-9 ring on most.
