I've got a 91 BMW Mtechnic convertible that I'd trade for a couple Ovations. My wife and daughter expect me to replace it, but I could deal with their issues later.

Hmmmm, maybe if my daughter doesn't do her part in shipping it out. 1989 gold 325i convertible w/low miles. Yet, she complains of parking in Manhattan.

While my wife was housebound for a number of years, I got away with 5 speed manuals for the Mustang and Alfa. She wants an automatic.

So, yes dear... :D

The 91 is an automatic. A little over 100,000 miles, though. It was a Hollywood car originally, that someone brought up to Sun Valley. I tried to tell my wife that I bought her a silver BMW for our 25th anniversary, but she didn't believe it. Maybe that's why she didn't buy that Legend that I hinted at.

One of my esteemed co-members put it best -

Thanks Dave...

Now I won't be able to look at the Takamine TNV-360-SC that my partner for this week, who just had a baby by the way, is playing without getting a visual...

Geez, I can't believe that somebody would be so tacky as to compare bearclaw spruce with a woman's stretch marks.... Just who do you hang around with Dave?

Paul, The person that stated that ugly comment would sure be mad if I divulged his identity. So we'll just keep it between you and I. Dave

Somebody met the minimum bid on ebay with less than a day left, so I guess it won't still be around in a year or so when I might be able to afford it.

Dave's: Speaking of "stretch marks" ...

Now, wasn't he the one who also referred to an Adamas I headstock as a "cauliflower crown"?

Yet bought Holdsworth Adamas I...or was that StandingOvation that pulled the "trigger"?

:p :p

I don't remember calling it a "cauliflower crown" but I wouldn't out it past me. Although I tend to stay away from things that are not easy spelled. Dave

PS - I think it was StandingOvation who grabbed the Adamas 1

Actually believe it was Noah who made the "cauliflower crown" comment.

Give it back to him and hold on to this 30th Anniversary for me until next summer, when it will be our 30th anniversary and I will be spending a week with my bride in San Diego.

Isn't the 2007 Collector's gonna have a bearclaw top?

Does anyone have a photo of that proto 2007 we saw at the tour?

I don't think the next guitar to get VIP was discussed, but it's logical it would be one of the higher end ones, like a CLLXCB.

By the way, we saw a proto of what "might" be the 2007 Collector. A beautiful bearclaw topped custom elite with lots of bling, VIP, contour bowl and really cool mono inlaid vainy epaulets.

Dave

PS - MtnBikerFred won the givaway. A BEAUTIFUL contour bowl custom elite.

hmmm..."A beautiful bearclaw..."

Would have been MORE beautiful if it didn't have a flawed top ...

Sorry Dave, that was just your reflection in the finish. Didn't mean to scare you like that... :p :D :p :D

I couldn't believe I won the guitar. God obviously wanted me to have a guitar like this for some reason. I "loaned" it to brother Brandon. He's a young college teacher with a wife and two daughters who leads worship, and serves as a youth pastor. He also writes music and gigs with it.

I would have been happy to see ME win it.....

I've been to 3 OFC gatherings in CT, and the two years that I traveled there with others, both of those people walked away with the raffled guitar. Who wants to travel with me in '07?
