tell you what... I'll give you $350 for the guitar, I'll come pick it up, and you can keep the case and list it for 200 on the bay.

I'd say that's a fair offer.

I doubt you're going to get what you want for it (you never have stated even a ballpark price).

A guitar with a body that has been completely broken in half is not going to get top dollar, that's just the facts.

"what's a vipertron"

Michael(mwoody), myself, and others here rebuild/restore/revive old Ovation guitars... as original electronics are hard to find for the most part, we use other alternatives. MWoody makes some of the best interpretations/examples.

the Viper III body used for this rebuild was prepped/stripped by him. and assembled/finished by my luthier and myself.

Well, that covers a lot of ground. You looking for a '59 burst top Les Paul perhaps?

It helps when you have a friend who's a custom luthier with a full shop.... most of the work is Brett's, I did some sanding, buffing, and layout work.. but all the finish work is his, I was the sub-assembly guy.

wait till you see the shaved pd neck that's going on the artist body. Brett really likes these book-matched mahogany necks.

and the UKXII with the bluebird 12 neck is going to be a knockout. the vipertron was just a warmup.

thanks for the compliments.

it plays even better than it looks. but it's ALs now... built it for him so I could justify the cost of parts for the Bluebird tribute to swmbo...

it has to go home soon... but it's getting an ebony trc first.

LOL Glenn,

During most of my "come-show-me-how-to-do-this" jobs I would end up scraping, cleaning, hauling, wiping, etc. while the Mentor sat and did the talking.

Teamwork!

Thank You Lays Guitar Shophttp://www.laysguitar.com/services.asp the guitar needs a paint job that he could do it for 500 dollars.Which is more than the guitar is worth .It was professionally repaired plays great .If you read my note the problem is the higher frets are to small for my fingers. That is why i want a Gibson standard.I have five kids and ss disability .A new guitar is a last on my list.I will just have to wait it out till i have more money.

"he could do it for 500 dollars.Which is more than the guitar is worth "

ok..... so that would make my offer pretty valid and acceptable, using your own statement.

like I said... I'll even come pick it up.. the repair/paint job is a non-issue for me, as long as it's solid and the pickups/electronics are in good working order.. even if it needs a refret.. still ok.

When it ends up on the OFC Calendar you'll have a lasting momento as well!

Throw in a couple OFC picks too!

I would if I could find one that sounds and looks as good as my Ovations for the same amount of money..

some of my and other's solid bodies equal and surpass a lot of the gibsons that cost as much as 4 times more.

yeah... ok Michael, BFG, I'll throw in a dozen of the blue ofc picks and an official pick-holder/key chain.
