MWoody makes some of the best interpretations/examples. the Viper III body used for this rebuild was prepped/stripped by him. and assembled/finished by my luthier and myself. Glenn | ||

| Joined: November 2004 Posts: 1374 | It helps when you have a friend who's a custom luthier with a full shop.... most of the work is Brett's, I did some sanding, buffing, and layout work.. but all the finish work is his, I was the sub-assembly guy. wait till you see the shaved pd neck that's going on the artist body. Brett really likes these book-matched mahogany necks. and the UKXII with the bluebird 12 neck is going to be a knockout. the vipertron was just a warmup. thanks for the compliments. it plays even better than it looks. but it's ALs now... built it for him so I could justify the cost of parts for the Bluebird tribute to swmbo... it has to go home soon... but it's getting an ebony trc first. I'll even come pick it up.. the repair/paint job is a non-issue for me, as long as it's solid and the pickups/electronics are in good working order.. even if it needs a refret.. still ok. Glenn | ||
