Thanx for reminding me of that!

Macca and wackojacko too monsters cominhg up with the magical drek that is Ebony and Ivory It doesn't make that song any better, but it was actually McCartney & Stevie Wonder. Paul: I don't want to fight, Michael. Jacko: Paul, I'm a lover, not a fighter. I was thinking "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You" by Michael Bolton. Laura Branigan's version was even worse, but I'm not counting her as a real artist.

I thought Mickey Thomas was great with Elvin Bishop, and okay on his own with Starship, but throw Grace Slick back in the mix, you can count me out.

I used to be a waitress, and in one place I worked, there was a waitress who would walk up behind me when it was busy and sing lines from the worst songs she could think of, to get them stuck in my head. She was a cool person and funny as hell, but it usually worked. Many an evening, I'd have that stupid dead tree song by Bobby Goldsboro ("Honey") going around and around my brain. I don't consider him a ONE hit wonder, because later he came out with the equally terrible "Watching Scotty Grow". I am still friends with this woman, but now that I think about it, I wonder why. My favorite was walking by and singing "And Bingo was his name-o" 5 minutes later you'd hear B I N G O coming from someone's lips. Even better if they started clapping.

Canterbury and Damon, I had a co-worker like that too. We had vicious wars! Nasty stuff like: "Lime in the Coconut" "Kung Fu Fighting" "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover". He had a doomsday weapon though. When things got too tough for him he'd always whip "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter" on me and I would be ruined for the day. That plunkety Emenee guitar/ukelele thing haunts me to this day. Otto .

He woulda' spared us ALL years of horrible music (not to mention the damage countless pre-pubescent sphincters). He'd still have his Songs. If he DID end up DoingTime, he'd be OUT by now & woulda' never met HopAlong, and would still have his money. (btw; - Sorry if I offend those that previously lauded the tune, but Johnny Cash's "Hurt" (as is most of his stuff) is just UNlistenable. I hated it when it first came out, and the media OVERplayed it SO much, that when Cash finally died, my intial response was "serves y'right").
